How can anyone say love at first sight doesn't exist?
Just because it hasn't happened to you doesn't mean that it wont. Considering that probably most of the people on this message board are quite young.. to rule it out after only living a very short period of your life is ridiculous.
I'm not saying it happens to everyone.. and to be honest I wouldn't expect it to happen to many' date=' but i'm sure it can and does happen to some.[/quote']
But how can you fall in love with someone you don't know? Someone you've never even met before?
-
I will be working Christmas Eve til either 4am or 5am depending on whether we have a late license, then probably sit around work for a while, drive people home then I should get to bed at my folks house around 6:30am on Xmas morning and will probably be up again within 2 hours to open my stocking...
Then open my other presents, go surfing, have a nice Xmas lunch (my family eat goose not turkey) then fall asleep. Maybe I'll get up again later and go play at my flat. Then I will be working on Boxing Day then leaving for Hertford on the 27th...it's all good...

Work like you don't need the money, dance like nobody's watching, love like you've never been hurt.
There's no point in saying you're not going to ever get attached just in case you get hurt. You need to risk getting hurt to reap the benefits of love. But hey, maybe I'm just talking shit.
Love at first sight can't exist though. You need to know a person before you love them, otherwise you can only fall in love with their appearance, and they're gonna look a little bit different when they wake up next to you in the morning.

There was an exciting fight downstairs in Triple Kirks last night...at 7:30before our doormen even started. We had to borrow the Revolution doormen instead.

They supported Green Day in 2000. They weren't bad but I like them more now than I did then

i've just realised how much of a christmas-loving person i am after reading the posts of you cheery lot! true' date=' stores tend to rake in the money around this time of year - that's the thing about businesses though, they see opportunity to make money, so they take it! (just like those who work christmas day because they can get triple time ) fair enough, christmas isn't what it used to be - although if the effort isn't made, what can you expect? i love christmas time, i love being able to buy presents for everyone i love, having snowball fights and eating turkey with my family. ok... am i sad?[/quote']
No, not sad at all. Christmas is wonderful. It makes me feel happy and remember how excited I got when I was a kid. I love Christmas. Unfortunately I shall be working until approximately 5am on the day but I'll make do on 2 hours sleep again like last year, just cos Christmas is lovely. I hope it snows...

2004's been pretty good on the whole although nothing particularly significant happened other than getting engaged...

I could possibly be tempted...

Try having a word with the management and see what they're saying about it.

Meat tastes good. It's natural to eat meat. Animals in the wild do it. People do it. Therefore, eat meat. Especially rare steaks...
-
Hmmmm...I spoke to the manager and he says he has never refused anyone entry because of the way they were dressed...

I don't understand all the people saying the bar service is shit. I've always found them to quick and well mannered.
Thank you
-
To whoever said the bar staff are shit...could you explain why we're shit and offer some suggestions as to how we could give you better service?
I asked about getting the bottle bar back yesterday and was told that it would be pointless since it rarely got used before.
-
Goddammit, I wish I'd been there earlier!!!

Will he bring his teddy bear?
-
I phoned the Lecht today. It's been snowing there but there's not enough cover yet. As soon as there is though, I shall be there. Oh yes.
-
Well I guess the moral of that story is to stop playing nice...
Bomb their offices.

On the topic of gigs on birthdays...it's my 21st in February...do you think you could arrange for Green Day to play Moshulu for me on the 25th please? Failing which Strung Out could play instead?
In fact, they could just play as well...
