Hillhead's a shit hole, but you get to meet lots of people. It's good experience to go into halls whether they're all fancy and nice or your flat floods everytime it rains and the oven breaks every week or two. (true story)

how dare anybody say that dirtbox are the best punk band in scotland
that is a fucking joke.
1. they are not punk
2. they are fucking shite
1) I love what is punk debates but can't be assed today.
2) They may not be original by any means, but they play catchy songs and are pretty tight.
Plus they supported Strung Out, which obviously gives them mega brownie points

Usually I'm too lazy to drink because it means I have to walk home.

Quik, Point of Origin, Strike at the Source, Contra, Dirtbox and DB68 would be my favourites.
At Long Last and 4 Star are also pretty cool and will be up there as they progress further.

10.30-2am. The venue has changed somewhat in the intervening six years. The music's a lot better' date=' for one thing...[/quote']
And the bar staff are sexier

I'm amazing at parallel parking. Oh yeh!
A few years ago my Auntie Phyllis (can't spell her name, nevermind) announced to my mum that she would not be renewing her license. When my mum asked what license that was, she replied "my driving license."
Disturbing as it may seem, this 80-something year old lady with Alzheimer's and minimal vision, still held a driving license despite NEVER having driven a car in her life. Apparently they handed them out during the war so women could drive tractors or something like that. That's pretty scary to think that she could legally have been unsupervised on the roads.
It might be a good idea to make complusory resits of the driving test every say...10 years, and every 2 years after the age of 60...or something like that?

I get very very angry with many people on the roads. My most common rants are about:
1) people who feel they are above indicating. I often get the urge to stop them and inform them that their indicators don't work. I have never been brave enough to.
2) people who start crossing the road on flashing amber and don't make it across in time. The most common place for this to happen is between St Nicholas and Bon Accord Centres. I drive the second the lights go green.
3) people who drive up my ass. If I drive slowly, there is usually a reason for it.
4) people who take up 2 lanes at junctions.
5) people who drive down the wrong side of the road (towards me) to overtake a car on their side causing me to have to swerve/stop to avoid them
but most of all, I get very very angry with people who drive through a junction when they know perfectly well they won't get out the other side before the lights change. The junction then gets blocked up because cars can't come from the other direction and people often have to wait 2 or 3 changes of lights when they are first in line. This happens most regularly at the Powis Place/Bedford Road junction. The lights sequence needs rethought and there needs to be a yellow box on the road.
End of anger rant.

I loved the book of Trainspotting and the movie. Wasn't so keen on the movie of the Acid House, although the book was good. I remember reading Filth a while ago but don't remember anything about it. Just finished reading Porno which was excellent. I'm not reading the Marabou Stork Nightmares, but as I tend to only read on holiday, I suspect it will take me a while!

I didn't get filmed by the cameras but I filmed you guys' set. Haven't watched it yet but I'll let you know if the recording's any good.
Great gig. I enjoyed all the bands as they all put on an excellent show. Well done everyone.

It's somewhere on this thread...

At risk of being hated...I kinda like the Killers. Despite hearing Mr Brightside and Somebody Told Me every day, several times a day for god knows how long now, I haven't got bored of them. I bought the album because I figured that if I hadn't got bored of those songs yet, the album must be worth listening to.
The singles are good. The rest of it bores me.

I smiled lots. There was lots of Heather-friendly music. Thank you. I also danced lots. And Ross even played Strung Out. Good man

I greatly dislike Jet.

Ah yes, I didn't think about that one, although you probably do have larger breasts than I do...
You can find out about the 10k here

Details for the 10k or race for life?
I did the race for life last year, but I'm going to be moving to Edinburgh on that day to start work in a scary law firm so can't manage it this year.
-
I shall be running again this year. Perhaps in aid of breast cancer since I won't be able to do the breast cancer run in June.
-
I may video some of it. But I don't want to be official...just in case I forget...

The Crystal Maze was great. I have a computer game of it. Oh yes
-
Aye, would be good fun

Who knows where thoughts come from? They just appear.

in Other Clubs & Venues

Right, I'm working my first Sunday night since last year.
Perhaps, I could bring some Strung Out to join the party?
