  1. Currently, I work at DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary Scotland LLP in Edinburgh earning 170 per week. On Friday at 5:31pm, I won't work here anymore.

I am also still an employee of the mighty Triple Kirks where I earn 4.85 an hour plus tips.

As of August 2007, I will be employed by Shepherd and Wedderburn WS in Edinburgh earning something over 16,000 a year but I'll find out exactly how much, a little bit nearer the time.

  2. I stopped playing years ago but it seems a good idea since I'm planning a career in law. It is a legitimate excuse to escape the office. I tend to be alright at putting and driving but my irons are rubbish. Royal Aberdeen is a very good golf club but fucking expensive. It's 85 for a non member to pay a round!

  3. God dammit, why do I work Saturdays instead of Sundays (other than I'm only in Aberdeen on Saturdays). From the sounds of it, the last two Sundays have been Heather-friendly tune wise. I won't be back til September now so I hope the bar keeps ticking over without my amazing service.

  4. Hopefully I'll be back in time to catch the bus back to Edinburgh at 7pm...

I have space for 3 people in the car. Preferably, text me or Dan if you want a lift cos I don't really have net access. If you PM me, it will takes a few days to reply...

Looking forward to getting my ass kicked. I believe I will be the smallest and the most rubbish and I am likely to get damaged.

  5. Myself and Dan will be there. I haven't asked him yet but I'm sure he will be there anyway! I'm in Edinburgh though working in a law firm just now and I don't have internet access very often so maybe someone would be kind enough to text me the details once it's organised? Thank you.

  6. I've got 2 out of 3 back - a 15 for my honours Family Law, which is enough; not amazing, but enough.

I got a 13 for my ordinary Private International Law - wanted more for that, but it's a pass so I don't really care.

I'm convinced I failed Revenue though and it's the only one I don't have back yet.

  7. now see that comment is fine - its constructive' date=' and its pretty fair.

    [/quote']

The thing that really confuses me is how you are desparately seeking to recieve fair and constructive comments - yet as soon as there is a thread about anything you don't like (i.e. ANYTHING other than power metal) you give possibly the most ridiculously unfair and unconstructive comments, usually "every emo and metalcore band are complete pish" or "all emo bands should quit" style garbage.

People would probably have been more useful to you on this thread if for the past few months you hadn't been acting like the biggest example of what you're getting pissed at.

Heard the 'flame...' mp3... not too bad but the drumming was pants. Also the solo would have been decent without the wah and if it had been phrased a better!

    Cheers

    Dan Atom

(by the way I am telling you all this for your own benefit so as you could maybe not have all these problems in the future)

  8. Indeed it NEVER moves. It is across the road from Greyfriars Bobby, I believe Mr Lessels has said.

It was indeed a horrible punishment, but it's all over now and I think I only failed Revenue.

Good luck to everyone else with their exams. I think I'm pretty much the first person at Aberdeen uni to finish mine!

  9. I've got non-honours Family Law tommorrow. You can tell me how honours is since i'll be choosing my subjects soon.

Nope, cos you laughed at me for liking My Chemical Romance.

But actually, it's quite good. I don't know how well I've done. Definately didn't get a first, but possibly a 2.1. More likely got a 2.2 though.

I have my next exam at 7pm tonight then another one at 9am tomorrow, and all I've read is one third of one of the courses. Oops.

Thank you, nice people, for your nice messages :)

  10. I love maths. Sadly I have forgotten most of my higher and advanced higher maths. I really miss studying it. I was one of those geeks that got to take days off school to go to Edinburgh and Glasgow for competitions and all that jazz.

  11. Robert Joiner...I remember your name. I don't know many faces from your year but I know many names. I do however have access to your yearbook...Mwahahahaha

Oh, and to Smooth Groover, it was erasers, although a friend of mine did hand in her art homework with a condom over her hand. The teacher was half blind and didn't notice.

  12. I was pretty good at school. I once made my French teacher cry but felt guilty so bought her a box of chocolates.

Other than a few visits to the head teacher and one solitary detention for flicking rubbers at my maths teacher, I rarely got into trouble.

By the time I started to talk back to my teachers in 3rd or 4th year, they had enough respect for me (being one of the "older pupils") to just give as good as they got. I had some great good humoured banter with a few of my teachers.

I loved school. It was great.
