Somehow' date=' I don't think Gavfest enjoys the same level as respect as GoNorth and the ilk. A music festival in Stonehaven...cool, but what good is it when it essentially seems to be one big in joke? Doesn't do much to attract outsiders, I'm afraid.
:\[/quote']
I don't understand why Gavfest is being compared to Go North. I am not a fan of GO North but as I read from this thread it is about bringing industry types to Aberdeen. This is the complete opposite of what Gavfest was about. It was completelly DIY. No funding,a dedicated group of us put lots of time and effort into building a stage out of railway sleepers and floorboards, putting up lighting etc.
Gavfest was open to anyone who could be bothered to get off there arse and get themselves there and had space to camp so you didnt have to stagger home. I was thankful that great bands and spectators from all over Scotland made there way to play it/enjoy it and out of thier own pockets. Please do not tell me this is not about the music and certainly was not a joke. It was about enjoying good music and having a good time.

...can now also be bought online from Norman Records(www.normanrecords.com), avalanche in glasgow, Edgeworld in Brighton(i think) and soon to be available via simbiotic(www.simbioticstore.com/valentinebitch). Thanks

YAHOO!! The Cd's arrived on my doorstep this morning. We will have lots to sell at the shows so you can wrap your clenched fist around one of these bad boys.
-
The album should hopefully be on sale at all the shows on the tour, I hope..Six measly pounds is all that is needed in exchange. The artwork is a picture that rikki venhell painted. cant really describe it further than it kinda looks like a green guy sucking his thumb on the back and a green fist kinda thing on the front..you'll need to see it i think cos that is the worst description of anything..ever.

Yo Just a quick update from the Valentine Bitch. All is looking good for the PVH album to be ready in time for the tour. Expect the CD to be around the 6 mark. Hope to see you all at the shows wherever you may be. Thanks

This show makes me feel loverly

PVH were something of a mystery to me. Musicianship was most excellent (no Bill and Ted jokes aright) but I didn't quite get the vocal performance. Take nothing away from the performance' date=' but it just wasn't my thing overall.

No mystery, No riddles, Just good old fashioned noises

The next PVH show is on the 19th January at the Tunnel's. Some CD's should be available at this show for those of you who don't know how to work the Postal Service.

Ahem' date=' Yes. Never clicked, thought you would be hand delivering in Stoney. Will make up the costs somehow. I never got any hair with mine.[/quote']
don't worry about it. to be honest it never clicked with me either til i went to post some and suddenly remembered that stuff isnt free. dammit
its not a problem though as i did hand deliver yours. were practically neighbours(well sort of) so i though it made sense. glad you got it ok cos there was a little doubt in the back of my mind that it wasn't going in the right letterbox
i could hand deliver some hair also if you would like some
