  1. here is some stuff on Destructo Swarmbots.

"Functioning as a 2 piece, but occasionally appearing as a solo act,DESTRUCTO SWARMBOTS has toured extensively, including two US tours(one insupport of Italys ZU) and a European tour in support of New Jerseysavant-hip hop act, DLEK, which saw DS joining DLEK and German legends,FAUST, on stage for an 8 man performance at the Bad Bonn Kilbi festival inDudingen, Switzerland. 2. If everyone just sounded like the fratellis then aberdeen might have a scene. Until that day(and I hope to fuck that never happens) theres loads of promoters in Aberdeen putting on all sorts of stuff, and more are popping up all the time, and if your willing to look for it, its there.

  3. I think the production on hide the kitchen knives is all a bit too clean. Young bodies is raw and twisted and sounds like a horrible nightmare. Both great albums though.

I tried to track down control-alt-delete-u when I was going through my major paper chase phase after I downloaded an awesome track called "Who Can Deny How Delicious It Tastes?" but had no luck so far

  4. got a old Paper Chase CD that I'd never heard of before for 7 instead. I'm terribly excited about listening to it.

Edit: It's a 2000 release called 'Young bodies heal quickly, you know'.

By faaaaaaaaar the best one in my opinion.

I just got the Jesus Lizard - Head/Pure and Boredoms - Super Roots 7 on a recent trip to Glasgow. Also recently acquired Pyramid 3 - Team Brick, Vom Ep and am still waiting for my Class A Audio 12" compilation. I want it bad!!!

  5. After this gig is gonna be the first Electropapknit club night.

Expect music along the line of Cornelius, Boredoms, Caribou, Built to Spill, Butthole Surfers, Deerhoof, Ack Ack Ack, Stig Noise, Yann Tiersen, Battles, Coachwhips, Lali Puna, The Shins, Don Cabbalero, Unwound, Sonic Youth, DEVO, The Flaming Lips, Gang of Four, Gatechien, Lightning Bolt, David Bowie, Pavment, Aphex Twin, The USA is a monster, Poltergroom, DJ Shadow, Bjork, Shellac, Blonde Redhead, Team Brick, Broken Social Scene, CAt on Form, Enon, Matmos, Noxagt, 400 Blows, Torche, Liars, Fugazi, Girls against boys, Blood brothers, Jaga Jazzist, The Kinks, Need new body, M83, Neptune, Tractor, Sleater Kinney, Dinosaur Jnr, Numbers, Mogwai, Les Savy Fav and obliviously a whole lot more

    **Destructo Swarmbots(New York)**

With a new record,'Clear Light' out on Public Guilt, New Yorks noise makers Destructo Swarmbots are bringing there unique mix of improvised sinister ear bashing and delicate melodies to Aberdeen for the first time. Since they were in the UK last time they, Destructo Swarmbots have toured Europe and America as part of Dalek.

This band has consistently been known to convert noise cynics. So even if your not a fan of noise check em' out. Perhaps it will change your life...

    **Action Beat(Milton Keynes)**

Supported on all dates by Action Beat. They're an improv noise band on the FORTISSIMO RECORDS roster in Bletchley. Action Beat are Influenced by such bands/artists as Sonic Youth, Glenn Branca and Rhys Chatham

Here's a review: "ACTION BEAT however were a phenomenal blast of power for an improvisational track I suppose about 15 minutes long. "We're a noise band from Bletchley" wasn't an intro to inspire too much confidence but the resulting repetative and rhythmic track was impressing everyone and led to prolonged calls for an encore. We didn't get one which made me like them more."

    **everythingwesayisfact(Stonehaven)**

Yet another cool band crawls out of the sea slime in Stonehaven. This 2 piece have only just spawned. Raw, youthful, noisy, if there tracks recorded so far are anything to go by then these guys will blow your slippers off.

hope you can all make it along.

  8. I've reduced the limit to 3 letters but the search index will need rebuilt before you will be able to find anything from past posts. That is something that could take hours if not days but I'll schedule it in for sometime in the future.

Nice one. Ta. I dont worry about the past. The futures where its at.

  9. I got this message. Can anyone help them out?. Quite Faraquet sounding. Very good!!

    Get in touch at http://www.myspace.com/mutinyonthebountytheband

    ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

    hi there!!

i'm sacha from a band called Mutiny on the Bounty(indie-math-prog rock)

we will bw on uk tour in august..

as we play a show in glasgow the 15.08 and maybe get 2 more shows the 16.08 in edinbourgh, the 17.08 in dundee we would love to play in aberdeen the 18.08.

do you think you could help us??

there are 2 more very GOOD Bands that could play that show with us.. they're called Arca Felix(www.myspace.com/arcafelix) and No Kilter(www.myspace.com/nokiltermusic)

tell me what do you think??

it would be great to play in aberdeen ;)))

    thanks,

    sacha/motb

  10. Is there any way you can make it so you can search for three letter words in the search?. I'm lazy and whenever i'm trying to find threads that i've posted on about PVH it doesnt work and I have to trawl through pages to find it. Ta if you can

Also I agree with Maxi. Aberdeen is isolated enough from the rest of Scotland in terms of music. Anything to break down the barriers is a good idea in my eyes.

  11. PVH have had an small aluminium flight case disappear the night of the fudge awards. It had a bunch of cds and badges in it. If anyone has seen it or knows of someone who is being very generous with PVH merchandise 'twould be sweet if you could let us know. PM me or email valentine_bitch(at)warpmail(dot)net.

    Cheers
