  1. I was referring to the dealing of herion disappearing, as with the illegal dealing of cigerettes and alchohol being realtively small trades, currently (despite some reported cases in recent times).

Crack and Cocain can be prescribed also and should have similar effects on dealing towards addicts. Recreational dealing is usually seen to not be as great a problem as that towards addicts. Major dealers are the ones who are known to carry weapons, as was the reason I mentioned this.

In Scotland at least, Herion is the big problem with drug addicts. Some places in England have bigger problems with other drugs but in Scotland it is herion.

You still haven't cleared up what herion is. Is it like cake?

You still haven't looked at the fact that dealing will still exist as you would only be able to get prescribed heroin if doctors felt it necessary to do so. So all the people who don't fall into that category would still have to buy it illegally.

Actually in Scotland right now, crystal meth is becoming a bigger problem than heroin. Especially in Aberdeen.

  2. There is no reason to think drug dealing would continue while Herion is prescribed.

I wanna know what herion is.

You really think there'd be no drug dealing if heroin was available by prescription? So what about things like Valium, Diazapam, Vicodin, even Viagra, etc which are available by prescription but still get sold on the black market? People would have to prove they were addicted to heroin before they could get a prescription. Doctors wouldn't just be prescribing heroin to folk who just wanted to try it. So there'd still be a black market for it.

Drug dealing wouldn't just go away. What about other drugs like Cocaine or Ketamine, which people use recreationally? There's no medical justification for prescribing those types of drugs, but people still want to take them.

  3. La Fenice on Huntly Street is a little Italian lunch cafe and it's amazing. Franco, the owner is one of the friendliest men around, and you get hunners of food for under a fiver. They do takeaway too. He did the catering for my folks silver wedding anniversary party and no one was complaining.

  4. Scorcese finally won! The guy was the reason I went to film school when I was 17. I've never felt so moved during the awards in the entire time I've been watching them. Welling up I was!

Glad Pan's Labyrinth got credits where it really deserved it.

  5. I'll keep that in mind when I'm down the local forest looking for deer. :) Just because you can get them anyway doesn't mean that you should make it easier to do so, does it?

    Ciaranx

It's likely that it would be harder to obtain a gun under license than on the black market actually.

  6. THEY ARE NOT GOOD!!!! THEY DO NOBODY ANY FAVOURS!! THEY RUIN PEOPLES LIVES AND KILL!!! THEY WERE MADE TO RUIN PEOPLES LIVES AND KILL, THEY HAVE NO OTHER USE!!!

Actually I think you'll find they're quite useful for hunting.

If someone's going to shoot someone else, they'll get a gun regardless of legality. During the post-Dunblane gun amnesty, you didn't see queues of Birmingham gangsters lining up to turn over their weapons.

  7. I have been twice since the change, once for dinner and once for lunch. The service last time was terrible, they knocked over a glass of water onto my friend and didn't apologise, got us black coffees when we asked for white, and when we pointed it out to the waiter/manager, he came back 2 mins later, put a jug of milk on the corner of the table and walked off again without a word. I wasn't too impressed with the food last night at Rusty's compared to the usual standard but it was still enjoyable...pity I had a good dose of the ol' parmasan on my spaghetti ?(

    it's ok, i don't think my sister's got anything too life-threatening. hahaha

  8. I don't think I've met anyone who thought Sexie was good. Maybe Eddie has set the bar a bit too high with his previous tours/dvds...

Circle wasn't great either but Sexie is just appalling and makes me wonder if a laugh track was put in cos there's no way the audience would be laughing that heartily at the crap jokes.

Dress to Kill in French is fucking funny though. It's on the special features bit of the Dress to Kill dvd.

  9. Must have missed you, I was in at 8.30 with some office guests. Had the Linguini Marinara, it was pretty tasty but there were a bit too many empty shells left on my plate by the end of it. I f you haven't been to Ciao Napoli for a while I would be wary of returning - since late last summer they have gone WAY downhill. The menu has changed completely, the quality of the food is average, and the service is appalling.

Yeah we had left by 8ish. My dad had the king prawn and monkfish skewer that I had a taste of and was utterly delicious. My youngest sis told us later she'd pinched some parmesan from the parmesan bowl that was lying unattended near the service area. Nice and hygenic.

Haven't actually been to Ciao Napoli in about a year. If it's as bad as you say it is, I'm fucking gutted.

In terms of non-Italian restaurants, the last time I was in La Boheme on Windmill Brae the food was amazing. Pricey, but amazing.

  10. I just finally got my Eddie Izzard DVDs back after a year. Watched Dress To Kill again, and it still makes me laugh. Attempted to give Sexie another go (I've never watched it the whole way through) and it got shut off after a very unfunny 15 minutes. What happened to Eddie?

  11. Did anyone go on Saturday? Maybe I've read Bizarre too much but midgets in kilts and baldy tattooed guys who poke holes in their face just don't strike me as freakish. I don't know what I was expecting but it was pretty poor, nothing special at all. Remarkably I heard a lot of gasps of horror and disgust from the audience. And I think the floorshows at Obedience School are far more entertaining and professional than what was on display Saturday night, the girls on stage were utterly decorative an just stood there in New Rocks and corsets, shaking their bums occasionally. Poor show all in all. Roll on May 6th and the far more talented OS gals and guys.

Wow thanks for that! Gonna have to pull out all the stops now. Hahaha.

  12. There was an amazing moment last week when they were talking about rape fantasies. Richard-"These are women who on a day to day basis have absolutely no interest whatsoever in actually being sexually assaulted."

  13. I have to admit that I cant see our flat being over carbon neutral with all the gadgets frying away.

Im tempted to challenge Neil to be more eco friendly. :p (Note: I'm no angel myself)

There are certainly some things we could do to reduce our nasty carbon output.

Hahaha when he lived with me I made him recycle all the boxes for the various gadgets he bought. You could start him there?
