I'm a little scared about the "mad" set.
Maybe I should get really drunk for that and sober up for Masamune.
Nevermind.
-
Also' date=' I meant that the line up for the slint atp was no where near as good as nightmare, certainly not good enough to warrent the insane price.[/quote']
Sounds like someone is jealous.
Deep down, you cry a little every night, but tough guys don't admit to it do they?
-
It's actually sold out. Gav got a six person Chalet, and all the ticks are gone.
Slint are curating it, and playing...

cool!

what's the make?

Yeah I heard about this ages ago on Pitchfork. I'm not sure I'll go. You kids knock yourselves out though.
Medichi - You're right. Gang of Four are the classic example of a band who should have stopped ages ago. It's sad that the same band could be so good, but turn so bad. This tour is the original line up however, and Entertainment and Solid Gold are superb albums.

Poor old Ollie.
Scrapping the barrel, eh?

Being the manager of "mad" al chivers, I'd like to confirm that he'll have a q and a session during the set. Please bring your snake bites to air.
He has told me that the "mad" sound he has is like a 'riot girl act'.

OK in that case they can play some other time instead' date=' sorry. There's several other bands with singers present and correct that would like to play that gig. No offence.[/quote']
It was a joke

Yousef you old dog.
The funniest thing of the night for me was my conversation with you, where I was disgusted that you were drinking:
Al: "Guy!!!! Guy Picciotto!!!! What are you doing? You're drinking?!!!"
Yousef: "Haha, erm, yeah, don't tell Ian MacKay"
-
You'll have to post your pics on here. I did hear a few 'Guts' chants at the gig' date=' which was quite flattering really, especially as the place was full of Shellac fans and there was so many great bands present, naturally.
i'm interested in where Joss stayed that night.... In fact no, I'm not. [/quote']
Oh Ross,
I am a boat, but you are the sea.
It was great fun busting up Edinburgh with you and Yousef. I had such a great time.
The pictures will be up very soon!
-
Alternatively, you can see Masamune at Moorings that night, but they won't have a singer for the gig as I'm going to this Xmas bash instead, sorry.
-
I think that Al must have a thing about getting his cock out... sitting at a random party last night and all of a sudden' date=' I hear my name being called... I look up and Al is waving his cock at me from across the room!
[/quote']
That can't be true. I would have remembered for sure.
Billiard Player Song, thanks.

oh, I meant to call you yesterday.
How was it? I don't think you're taking things seriously, ho ho.
Sunday was just superb

Man,
I've just about pulled my body parts back together. I got hideously drunk after that show and lost my wallet.
It was worth it though, trying to piss on car locks so they would thaw for the keys, being in the presence of Maxi when he jumped on his head, seeing Ben beat up Gav, meeting Yousef Picciotto etc.
Shellac was great. It was cool that they were very natural on stage rather than the usual rock postures. The song about the girl who picks up cigerette butts out of the gutter was ace.
There were so many band members there too like from Mogwai, Arab Strap, Lapsus Linguae, Opaic, Degrassi, Masamune, Project Ven Hell, Guts of the NE, Politik, Paravion, Sinister Waltz, Sidca, Dedalus.
Joss, Gav and I enjoyed it so much that we went out last night too.
This post is pointless, I'd just like to apologise to everyone and my Mother.

Oxes for me was the gig of the year.
I thought Sonic Youth was pretty good, but not as good as the time before.
What was good about the Youth show was the hostel afterwards with the Lucious Vicar, Rilly, Korvania, Lester and Miss Kelly's Toe. boo.
-
Lets just get to the root of this thread. Ven-Hell suck, period.
Now go back to your Mommy's.
-
I missed out on ToD.
I've heard a few tracks of the new album. One track was ace, but the others were a bit of a let down.
They're bound to play the classics off Madonna, like Aged Dolls and Mistakes and Regrets.
-
i don't think they started doing USB until pentium 2 chipsets came about. not sure really. i'm pretty certain that laptop won't have USB on it though.
Paul,
You're a geek
You know too much.

Hey man, I wanna have a fight with you!
Woah!

I saw the last two bands.
Cezare were like Wire and Shellac. Overall quite impressed. There were times where I thought it was really interesting.
The last band didn't do anything for me. They seemed really tight, but I felt there wasn't any progression. It was all pretty same/y. I'd really like to see a metal band who want to fuck things up, rather than play harder than everyone else, which always seems to be the case.

Chivers is a hotsy hot hot hotsy... oh baby... yeah.

Steady,
Three mentions, from three esteemed musicians, is very kind. I'd just like to say that I think you all have impeccable tastes, ho ho.
I'll beat myself up for that one.

So what happens if you're not planning to release the tracks?
We record every show we play now, so we can see where we went wrong, what sounded good etc. A couple of the tracks from the last Lemon Tree show, are going on on the webshite.
I'm not trying to cause trouble, just interested. We're playing your venue on the 11th December I'm told, and I'm very much looking forward to it.
