    NEW YEARS EVE-EVE ABERDEEN BLOW-OUT
Tight Ideas bring you some of the best local music to celebrate a year in which several of our biggest and brightest have made a permanent mark on the scene.

    Min Diesel
Min Diesel are an outrageously hard-working band. Having not long released debut LP 'Mince', they've just toured with Fawn Spots, debuted a slew of new material and show no signs of slowing down. A self-proclaimed 'mindie-rock' band, fans of Dinosaur Jr, Sebadoh and Stapleton will surely approve.

    LENIN DEATH MASK
Is there anything that sounds like this anywhere in the UK? Lenin Death Mask combine the earnest, steadfast anger and drive of Titus Andronicus with the bouncing interplay of Thin Lizzy. A beautiful noise, LDM have just released 'Three Hits' with local label Fitlike Records, and have distribution deals for the UK and Europe. A monstrously entertaining band.

    Depeche Choad
In a world where songs about heartbreak and melodrama are ten-a-penny, Depeche Choad tackle the big subjects like: allergy to bodily fluids, business, vampires, a hatred of cats and Spanish wine. From a tradition where, y'know, seeing bands is meant to be fun, Choad eschew North-Eastern stoic performance with sets that are raucous yet entirely inclusive.

    DJs

    Hanukkah Skywalker
Stonehaven-based producer and DJ, Hanukkah Skywalker is the moniker of Benjamin Lowit, the most scarily dedicated music fan you'll ever meet. Expect a mix of classic hip-hop, soul, R&B, bassline, garage and grime.

    Double Yellow + Parkin' Fiine
Two men who are to eclecticism what Ainsley Harriot is to spice. The kind of guys who'll play Action Bronson and Big Black in the same 15 minutes, yet it'll make sense. It all just... makes sense. Vinyl DJs who are absolutely right for your party, your wedding or your wake.

    £5 ALL NIGHT

  3. The Champions League teams being able to drop into Europa League after failing in the Champions League ruins it for me. The group stages are boring as well. All it needs to be is a knock out contest and it gives meaning to every game.

  4. The end was very unnecessary. I do like they are taking the stories on a slightly different path in some regards from the book but I do think they are trying to cram too much and not provide any back story to some of these characters. I can imagine most viewers be really confused about Dorne and what's happening there.

  5. I put Flood with Jack and McLean further up(where he should be IMO), but only if Flood promises to pass the ball forward a bit more often.

Also worth pointing out we'll have Considine on the bench who was one of our most improved performers as well. Shame he will have to go there but definitely excited for Shinnie coming into the team.

  6. My list is pretty packed, but what's it about?

At the moment my wife fucks off to bed quite early to grab some sleep before the wee one gets hungry so I've been getting through a lot of stuff.  Currently watching Sons of Anarchy (just finishing S1), Daredevil, Battlestar Galactica (just finishing S1), Community, Kimmy Schmidt, Better Call Saul and rewatching Farscape. Plus outside of Netflix there's Agents of Shield improving all the time.

Was watching Gotham but gave up. It feels like pre-HBO TV. If the 90s did a superhero weekly. Doesn't stack up well against modern production values.

How are you finding Sons Of Anarchy? I just finished the series on Netflix (I know there is still one more to be released) and I'm intrigued on someone else's view on it because I'm a sucker for still enjoying tv series even when they go down the toilet.
