  1. Well, for a start I'm opposed to Britain's drinking culture, I stopped drinking when I was about 14 as I realised I was doing it for the same reason the rest of the kids were: peer pressure. I have never met anyone who I preferred to be around more so when they've been drinking then when they havn't. It's mainly for this reason I steer clear of pubs, clubs and bars, with the exception of places that host gigs, making my knowledge of these places pretty low. I'm a non-smoker.

When I am in such places, I do dislike the smoke, and would enjoy myself much more if I didn't come away from the place with painful eyes and my clothes and hair smelling like shit. I'm for a ban if that's the only way that places are prepared to tackle the situation, but I'd be much happier if pubs, bars and clubs were just legally required to have a certain amount of ventilation, depending on the size of the building. I was at The Moorings last week and with the exception of one old lady who sparked up and went at it right next to me (I was sitting at the bar), I was unscarred by the smoke around me, due to their impressive ventilation system. If this sort of thing was standard in all places of this nature, I'd think of it as problem solved.

I hate walking around town at night enough as it is, with the excess of drunken idiots walking the streets, I certainly don't need any more of them (aswell as the non-drunks/idiots) being put out onto the already packed streets to have a fag. It'd most likely increase the number of fights too.

My vote is for mandatory high quality ventilation systems, as well as no smoking allowed at the actual bar.

  2. The taxes certainly dont go into healthcare

    Uhhh.

It has been estimated that' date=' in England, 364,000 patients are admitted to NHS hospitals each year due to diseases caused by smoking.[/i'] That's around 1000 a day that most likely wouldn't be there if they didn't smoke.

I'm pretty sure that the taxes payed through cigarettes do go into healthcare, as well as other things of course.

  3. I could've sworn I got offered them for higher prices :p

Well worth the cash if you're not artistically minded but as I was told:

    "Noodle Boy is MINE!!!"

so let that be a lesson..

I'm sorry about my previous messenger, rest assured, i'll beat him harder than usual next time.

And these are the final prices. I figured i'd take them down a bit, but the whole point of this is to get some money, and they cost way more than i'm selling them for anyway.

Haha, I'd forgotten about that. :)

  6. No' date=' really, you do have stunted taste in music. But to be honest, I almost find find hicks like you endearing, with your silly naivity. You cheeky little chappy![/quote']

It's nice to see other people's perspective on things, especially if that perspective is as wrong as yours is. Keep on believing in yourself, it's wonderful to view.

I'll leave it there, your thread's already off-topic enough.
