sonhenry
(Background- I'm a guitar player moving from the states to there)OK, so I've got this Fender amp that I've had for years but it's wired for 117 volts. I've either got to replace the power transformer or use a step down transformer to convert 220/240 down to 120 (the 60/50cycle thing is no big deal according to Fender). Anyone have any experience with a step-up or step-down transformer? Sorry, replacing it with a marshall isn't an option just now I'm sure it'll work, I'm more worried about it being reliable. Nothing worse than an amp going up in flames in the middle of the first set. Thanks!Son
