They hurried the game out to be ready in time for Christmas in the 80s and only gave the programmers a matter of weeks to make the whole game. Invested millions in it and the game ended up being unplayable it was so bad. They were left with hundreds of thousands of unsold or returned cartridges and had to cut their losses- ended up burying them in the desert in New Mexico.
