Flaneur
Bit of a niche market in Aberdeen, I would think. The internet is your friend, in this regard........If you're already comfortable with open tunings, it's quite possible to teach yourself some basic Jerry Douglas style Country phrasing. Blues is even more straightforward, if you have done any slide playing on regular guitars. What sort of music are you looking to play? bungle
Thanks for the replies, I'll try Lyndsay Cargill then. Not sure what style I want to play, more Jerry Byrd Hawiian style I think, I'll just stick to the bottleneck for blues slide. Bigsby
I've only been playing a few months and I'm no expert but I can show you a few country bits and pieces if you like.
bungle
I've got a book with loads of country stuff in it, working my way through it just now. I'm really just looking for someone to give me a few pointers on my technique, vibrato, bar slants etc...
