The Ghost Of Fudge
Fudge and the Moorings Bar present:Saturday 8th December - ‘Release Your Kraken' with DJ Beard Fury. IMPERIAL LEISUREStart dusting off the cava and breaking out the rum - Imperial Leisure are back on tour! The Ska-inspired rap/rock party animals are reigniting the afterburners for a six week monster of a tour. It all kicks off November 2nd and rides right on through till December 14th, compromising 28 live dates, 19 of which will feature Imperial Leisure as main support to none other than the rising legends Sonic Boom Six! Given the awesome live reputations of both bands there won't be a dry shirt in the building... I wont lie at the end of summer 2012 we figured Imperial Leisure was done for, we couldn't see how we could progress and our fan base was decreasing so we decided to line up a fair-well tour: Then-out-of-nowhere we ended up on the Sonic Boom Six UK tour. The tour was a great laugh, lots of rave reviews, lots of love from the crowds all totally unexpected and now this? A live review in the latest Kerrang!?? It must be at least 3 years since we had a peep out of them regarding I.L. BLOODY MARVELOUS! Thank you Kerrang! thank you Sonic Boom Six! and thank you everyone who spent their hard earned bunce on tickets to see us! Managing to be both intense and dance-able and insanely catchy, they carry the Imperial Leisure guarantee of crowd and band alike having the time of their lives. They get their kicks from The Specials, Madness, Rage Against The Machine, The Beastie Boys, and Cypress Hill, and absolutley slayed the bar when they played a couple of years ago. All the way from London, so make it a good one for them.www.facebook.com/imperialleisuresupport:MISS LUCIDMiss Lucid offer their own style of 'in your face' rock, driven with the punk/grunge undertones of bands such as The Clash and Nirvana, blending large sonic soundscapes and crafted melodies reminiscent of Oceansize and The Doves. This band will not offer you a agenda driven reinterpretation of a past musical subculture. There is no fashionably contrived movement or market here. The new paradigm will exist with or without the populous’ consent. Reticence and diffidence must be set aside even as the path before remains unknown. Truth cannot be moderated and neither will this.www.facebook.com/MissLucidFirst act onstage 9pm, second act 10pm. Strictly 18+ only. Free entry before 8.45pm, £3 thereafter until close. Plus! Our rotating monthly clubnight Release Your Kraken, where DJ Beard Fury will be spinning the cream of rock, metal, punk, indie, grunge, pop and stoner from the past forty or fifty years. It could end quite literally anywhere, musically speaking... Every night's a musical adventure! The Moorings Bar - The Place Your Mother Warned You About. It was beautiful, and they're reforming for a one-off gig to celebrate the Mayan Apocalypse, possibly.First act onstage 9pm, second act 10pm. Strictly 18+ only.
