THE IVORY FALL

"The Lorelei are the sound of a hundred broken hearts, a thousand broken bones, crushed and reconstructed. You need them." Old favourites, new tunes, same spirit: we're always delighted to welcome these folk-punk veterans back onto our stage.

"Miss the Occupier are an indie-punk three-piece who take angular guitar riffs, fuzz them up until they're a suitably deafening din, and set them alongside the sardonic musings of singer Roz Davies. It's like being stomped in the face by The Fall's stroppy younger sister, and enjoying it just a little bit too much for your own good." - The Herald

You might not have noticed (as you were possibly standing outside watching various hairy men in revealling clothes do pull-ups), but these guys played on the night of Mr Moorings 2009. They play classic rock and have very nice hair.

It's a first visit to the bar for these tykes, formed from the ashes of popular thesp-rockers Zero The Fool. Excellent: I just invented a genre. Let's hope it catches on.

That was a jolly good night! First time I'd seen Miss the Occupier and I was impressed. Not something I'd be likely to listen to at home but a professional sounding outfit, good voice and nice melodies. The Lorelei were, in the words of Susan Boyle, "Bloody Fantastic" (she's trying to make that her catchphrase in case you didn't know). I don't think any band in Aberdeen or even THE WORLD enjoy playing music as much as The Lorelei seem to. You can't help but be caught up in their enthusiasm. Quality drinking music
