Guest idol_wild Posted September 9, 2008 Report Share Posted September 9, 2008 I read a while back that Windows Vista is a bit rubbish and slow and that there was a way to revert from Vista to XP in order for Vista to look and run like XP.Is this possible? You should be able to turn it off in the desktop settings (right click on a bit of empty desktop space).To use classic menus you can right click on the start menu.Turning off desktop search would also speed it up as Vista builds a search library of everything.You could also add more memory, always a relatively cheap and easy way to increase the performance of your machine.But in my experience of using Vista day to day for the last year the difference isn't as big as some quarters would have you believe.
