FUTURO

Formed on New Years Day 2006, Futuro are still quite young in the grand scheme of things. 9 months (to date) isnt that long really. However, the band, Jon (Guitars/Vocals), Omar (Drums) and Graeme (Bass/Backing Vox) have really been together a lot longer. With Jon and Graeme being brothers, and knowing Omar since they were about 6 years old, the relationship between the band members is almost symbiotic.

After several years of tinkering in various bands and projects together, they finally settled on Futuro. A mix of razor sharp anglular guitar, thumping dance-able drums, and silky smooth bass lines combine at a rather fast tempo to give the listener a glimpse as to what the offspring of The Rakes, Interpol and Rage Against The Machine might sound like.

Already, the band have toured the UK considerably, gained national radio and press, supported the likes of The Fratellis, The Rakes and The Fallout Trust, played T in the Park, and released 2 sold out EPs. Not bad.

Not bad at all in fact, considering the band handle every aspect of it all themselves too. From the recording, mixing and mastering, the video making, web and print designing, street team co-ordinating, managing, tour booking, radio plugging and pr-ing - its a self contained unit, and one that is ready to, and already beginning to, take the UK by storm.

With critical acclaim for the releases and the live shows, the band have impressed critics and fans alike. What happens in the next 9 months is anyones guess, but if things continue the way they have been going, expect to see a lot more of Futuro
