Saturday 13th May 2006

Fudge proudly present another classic line-up at Fudgenight74

The Moorings, 2 trinity Quay, 9pm

Don't be nervous if you've never been to the Moorings, the pirates aren't as scary as you might think. This is a 18+ gig, but if you're under eighteen and contact flash through the Moorings Forum you'll quite possibly get an exemption and get to see some great live bands...

Indafusion return to The Moorings! Hooray! Indafusion are great.

"We come from Scotland and empty the animal trough-water of modern music onto the ashes of our broken hearts to allow our dejected cells to catch glimmers of hope in song!

Peter: Bass Potato(e), Hammer and Little Nails made of Water. Martin: Salt And Light. Gary: Boxes, horseflesh.

We meet in corridors and cottages. We have been friends to each other. We sometimes hunch over our weapons and collect envelopes of sand. Circular Records out of Edinburgh release our records.

You can buy our album Sweeping The Stars, released in 2004. Our next record is the E.P. Runts of Darwin, due for release on April 17th 2006.

We play concerts in Scotland. Pay us some money and/or be nice to us and well come play in another country.

Loxodonta Africana; Elephas Maximus Indicus!"

THE ACUTE

Coming all the way from Glasgow to rock you!

Influences: The Smiths, Manic Street Preachers, Placebo, JEW, Smashing Pumpkins, Gary Numan. Sounds like: SEX and lust. Beauty and longing, boredom isolation and despair, self love and visible collar bones, the inside of our heads.

NME said: "Marrying the thunderous riffage of early Manics and Smashing Pumpkins to the new-wave melodies of Gary Numan, The Acute have a reputation as one of the best live bands in (Glasgow)."

IDENTITY

You all know Identity by now surely?

+ FLAMING KATY

replacing iomega

Plus, of course, The Kraken DJ Duo. They'll play rock, indie, metal, stoner, pop, post-rock, hip hop and the classics. Depending on how drunk they get, virtually anything could pop up, from The Temptations and Jurassic5 to Mastadon, The Bonzo Dog Doo Daa Band, or Wool. Plus local band tarcks of course, as nothing's more satisfying than hearing your demo played at excruciating volume to a roomful of drunks.

Three quid?

Ouch! bit a yoyo trip those tour dates. Up and down, up and down.

Best band name ever, on the Leeds date - "Flat Back Four". Genius!!

i see that THE ACUTE are playing the T-BREAK FINALS this year.

...so you should probably pop along to the moorings and check them out for yourself, so that when everyone complains about the bands that end up getting picked, you can at least be in a position to have an opinion...

9ish iomega

10ish the acute

11ish indafusion

12ish identity

(very approx timings)
