chilli
We are very proud our headline artist this week has been awarded THE GUARDIAN Newspaper Guide Pick of The Week No 2 for Things in Herds "The Brighton outsider duo bring heartaching lyrics, but wrapped up in childlike folkiness. With pictures"!!! (The Saturday Guardian recommends three gigs all week in the whole of Scotland & the North of England)So we bring you a fantastic package this week with Adrian Crowley who is Ryan Adams & James Yorkston favourite artist & one of imp's very favourites solo artists. All three artists on the bill are playing in Aberdeen for the first time. This Wednesday night @ The Tunnelsn.b. for those inquistive enough No 3 gig 1990's (ex Yummy Fur)No 1 gig Dialogues 2006 - Quality Electronic Festival including a Rune Grammafon night

Graeme
Here's the reference to Adrian Crowley made by Ryan Adams in a Rolling Stone article. Stupid question really though!Who's the best songwriter that no one's heard of?How would we know? Off the top of my head, there's a fellow who lives in North Carolina named Kenny Roby that wrote a song called "Rather Not Know." He was in a band called Six String Drag that was around at the same time as Whiskeytown. He's phenomenal. There's Richard Hawley -- from Sheffield, England, I think. And an Irish fellow named Adrian Crowley.
