Sam 45 Posted March 7, 2006 Report Share Posted March 7, 2006 The Welles carry a really nice sound and postcards is a fucking ace track but unfortunately there was an awful turnout tonight - for all the bands.Samurai Fury played a tight set and showed how much they have improved in the last few months.I thought Wintersville (or whatever there name is) played well but definately thought they were stuck in the 70s.The Black Velvets seemed to be a bit annoyed by the lack of crowd but it didnt seem to reflect in their playing - nicely written tight songs - although i didnt see all of their set.All in all a good night.....fucking shattered though, and it was freezing in the tunnels. Thought it was quite funny. We missed out the tour support on the flyer too, oh well. Quite enjoyed the gig but it would have been better if there wasn't about 15 amps on the stage!
