steve corps Posted June 2, 2005 Report Share Posted June 2, 2005 i dont think its that great really, locust are pretty much a one trick pony.its a nice trick but gets boring after awhile.its all a bit sci-fi, wish they would expand the sound a bit, take some tips from melt banana. Teabags Posted June 2, 2005 Report Share Posted June 2, 2005 I like the new ambient parts of it, though I must admit, ebing me, i preferred the more brutal side of The Locust such as Plague Soundscapes. I totally agree about Karam taking it to a whole crazy new level. I cant explain which part it is, cos I dont knwo EXCTLY whioch songs its form, but theres a bit where I can actually make out iof its a crazy guitar effect or a synth effect, but its just fucking ace. I think their sound has expanded quite well with this ep, perhaps they should carry on with the experimentation with ambience rather than brutality.
