Guest Zeenat Aman
www.terrascope.co.uk has wrote a short review of my sundaramusic demos. "Sundarams self-released seven-track demo CDR takes dreamy pastoral flute and sitar-laced acoustic folk with a feel not dissimilar to the instrumentals from Bryter Layter and blends it with a laid-back take on the Canterbury-scene jazz-fusion sound. Care free as an English meadow bathed in mid-summer sunshine and as blissful as meditation on banks of the river Ganges, this collection of songs is a decidedly promising showcase of the talents of sometime Alasdair Roberts, Will Oldham and Kitchen Cynics collaborator Philip Johnston."www.sundaramusic.com has had over 5000 hits to the site since going online late February 2005, Sundaram - part one is at No. 28 in the KIAC Big 50 chart and a label has expressed interest in doing a release at some point in the future...A good few months I think. Guest Zeenat Aman
Dont forget these two though!its crap' date=' the drums are out of time, the singing is out of key and it sounds like porn music......... appart from that it was awesome!!!Really impressed.[/quote']I don't really like it very much. It sounds really 70s... I imagine people wearing brown jackets with giant lapels sitting on orangey leather sofas smoking endless joints while listening to this. Possibly while on the back lot of a Columbo movie.
Alan Cynic
I think Bob's one is positive!!! I used to have a brown 'Kevin Keegan' suit (bought by old Ma Cynic from a catalogue , and must've worn an orange shirt with it. It would have been a joy to listen to your demos in those days too!
