As much as you are a clear troll/nob you raise an interesting question (without realizing I'm sure)... has the 'backpack' hip hop vs mainstream hip hop divide been broken down in more recent years? Commerical hip hop definitely seems a little more 'conscious' these days and maybe i'm a bit out of the loop but it also seems the 'alternative' stuff is less purposefully un-gangster.
Trolling the forum just because I've got nothing better to do tonight... If I'm honest. I'd say back in the day, everything was main stream ain't it? But from what I see hip hop today is as good as pop, manufactured shite. Just a money maker. You've got lil wayne, that drake and White American girls rapping about 'yolo, $wag' and it's just bollocks!
Music has lost it's touch nowadays. People assume that if a band are not in the album shirts or whatever, they are apparently shit?

We actually have so many lad/indie/mod/rock bands that we have to cull them once a year in order to protect the palpably abstract concept of music from further abuse. Don't worry, come the summer they will start sprouting again and you won't be able to move for bad hair, cagoules and Epiphone Casinos.
If you like basic rock, check out the Black Heartbeats, they are fucking terrible.
Oi! I appreciate a good tobacco sunburst epiphone casino! You're right, they are fucking disgraceful! I'd say the mod scene are way different to the indie scene. The indie scene wear h and m tank tops and play squier bullet stratocasters. Target 5 are the dogs bollocks! I recommend seeing them!

how many times do you practice at toms? none the less id like to point out the following to you;

2. i know barely any people around my age that can even afford to practice at captain toms, its like a luxury to us.

Instead of pissing everybody off on this forum (apologies), and due to the fact I'm incredibly bored and without a vagina to pound into, what do you lot think of the music scene around here?
My band are into pwoper bands and that mod/rock/swagger/tunes vibe but whenever we head to Toms' for a quick jam, all you hear is 15 year old screamo bands that hand in a microphone covered in blood.
Does any of you agree that the Aberdeen music scene right now is just indie arctic monkeys wannabes and teen screamo-I've-shagged-the-dog-and-slit-my-dick-off bands?

I recently discovered Blackalicious about a month ago. The album Nia is probably the smoothest hip hip I've ever heard! Nothing like today's bollocks about money and 'tea bagging yo' bitch'.

I got a 535 and it's surprisingly too small! I tried my 3 biggest pedals first which are an original cry baby, digitech whammy and a line 6 dl4. I guess it's alright for storage but it'll be a pain juggling them around and having to use some outside of the pedalboard.

I'd never of thought an eq pedal would be handy on a pedal board, I'll look into one and see if it is a benefit investing in one to!
I could be killing two birds with one stone and grab a zvex box of rock (I do like his pedals!) which has a booster as well, has anybody tried one? The ehx pedal seems like a great solution and it's not a bad size as well!

Just wondering what is more preferred when doing solos, a booster pedal such as the zvex super hard on, mxr micro amp etc or a volume/expression pedal (would probable be a boss one or an earnie ball, whatever really!)
I'm only after something to get me abit louder for when I do a solo with a full band, and it's a pain in the arse having to adjust the amp constantly!

I'm got fender performance series connected through the amp and patch aswell, and a fender coiled cable I use through guitar to pedal.
Is this a bad thing? They do the job, not keen on the light/hollow feeling of the performance series cables but they are still kicking strong!
