  1. You should do one of those things where a local 'celebrity' charges to have wet sponges thrown at them. In this case, the 'celebrity' could be you. I'll give you a tenner to smash a wet sponge off your coopin.

we've actually got that, of your serious we could do it to me. Would generate quite an income I'd hope.
  2. I doubt you'll find many non-high school bands that will want to play at your high school for free. So as long as that's not a problem, break a leg.

we already have 2 non school bands already wanting to play. We're discussing venue today as if we go for the school we'll need security so people don't go wondering about the school. If we went for downstairs we'd need no security but all under 18s would need to be accompanied by an adult then we wouldn't need to provide refreshments but we wouldn't mKe a profit off it.
  3. I would suggest having a clear idea of the charity you want to support prior to anything else.

Also, very much doubt you'll be able to use a school as a venue after hours.

we're choosing the charity very soon but were wanting to know if this could be done realistically. The school is fine with using the hall after hours as there is teacher supervision and the janitors are on late. If this falls through gav at downstairs said we could use there.
  4. Okay so at Leo's were discussing the idea of like a live music night. Where bands come along and play voluntarily (free) and all the money raised from tickets and selling stuff goes to a charity of choice.

Venue would be Harlaw academy where the stage is absolutely massive and has full PA. Hall can hold 200ish and plus the balcony. This would be a single night event.

Any suggestions or tips or even bands that would want to maybe play?

  5. Jan, I don't know what I've ever said to you, but it must have really hurt. You're such a wee bitch about me. Like I said before, I'm guessing being behind a keyboard helps you.

it's the exact same for me, I know I piss off everyone but jan goes too far the wee skank.
  6. Moon moon thinks he's sacked and the next day he's not. Moon moon thinks he's promoted and the next day he's not. Does anyone else get the sense someone might be jumping to extreme conclusions?

not at all, my boss is just a unending cunt

  7. I do have a Squier telecaster that doesn't get played anymore. It's got a bigsby style tremolo and an aged pickguard. If I can upload a picture on here then I'll do so, if not then I'll send through an email. Funding for a nice Epiphone casino.

The frets have not been scalloped.

    and your point is?
  8. I'm feeling pretty proud this week in what I have achieved by joining Leo's and what we have done as a group to raise money for breast cancer research. In the last 3 weeks we have held 4 events including;

Dare to wear- I wore make up for a day along with other guys

Dare to bare- all participating girls never wore make up for a week

Everest in an hour- we got as many people as possible (120) to run a certain amount as the same distance as Everest. We did it in 28 minutes.

Today we ran sports day setting up side events including sponging teachers and kicking a ball at me.

Over all I think it's been a success in what we've done as the new members and we are aiming for a couple of thousand pounds to go towards breast cancer research.
