I'm the exact same at captain toms. Can't get a good sound out of the orange heads but I get on great with the fender heads.

That's what's going to kill me one day, I can tell. I'll buy an AC15/30, follow instructions from youtube and end up smelling my eyeballs melting.

I'm the same, with a combo it looks more presentable and a lot nicer than a head and cab, I'm currently using a behringer 2x12 modelling amp and it's brilliant. Even when gigging in the past I hire out combos instead of head and cabs as I just feel more comfortable with a combo.

no. Our old drummer mailed us saying her cusion only gave us the gig because she thought that the drummer was still in it. Turns out it was a whole confusion and the old drummer got mixed up where we were playing and who was organising it in which it wasn't her cusion. I do not want to drop kick the cusion who's the organiser I want to drop kick our old drummer for causing an argument.

My band have been asked to play at HMV on september 27th. We have been booked. We've now been told we might not get it now as the person who booked it thought her cousin still played in the band, not exactly fair is it? We have also been told that the persons who's cousin it was that their band will be doing the gig if we get cancelled.

Yepp I sure did, now I know how that works, time to block my work from calling me for a few days and blame it on shitty service.

Some wifey at work is being a bitch. She consistently avoids helping service users and jumps at the chance to stay in the kitchen. Even then she's worse. She never washes her hands when preparing food and serving it. She never washes the tables properly. At nights we have to wash them again as their dirty. Today some service users dropped food on the floor and she gave no thought to cleaning it up. Instead me a volunteer had to search the building for a sweeping brush and do it myself. She's well pissing me off.

I'm having problems with my I phone, a small majority of my contacts can not call me. It does not ring when they call it just goes straight to voice mail. Unfortunately it doesn't stop my boss or mum calling. Suggestions?

So much depends on what style of food you like. Aberdeen is awash with mediocre overpriced restaurants. That said there are still a few, very good restaurants left in my opinion.

Cafe Boheme for traditional French

Granite Park for modern British

Rock and Oyster for seafood, however if your after seafood then the Creel Inn at stonehaven is worth the trip.

Rustico for a hearty Italian

Yangtze River for Chinese - not very romantic though.

Musa is a funky little place too.

It has been a while since I've been out for a nice meal in Aberdeen so all of the above could now be rank!!

I'll eat anything but he's wanting Chinese l, I've heard good stuff about the food at Yangtze River but as you said it's not very romantic. This evening has to go very well. Any other Chinese places?

Nowt wrong with putting better pickups in a Squier. I had a shot of Moon Moon's and it's a fine instrument as is but would no doubt benefit from better pickups.

Somebody was selling a set of Texas Specials on Gumtree.

it sounded great in your hands I must admit. I'm probably going to go with custom wound mojo pickups. Only thing is I'm wanting hss routing and it's pretty expensive

Putting custom wound pickups on a Squier, and playing through the quality of amp that you tend to have is a waste of time.

 

Stop throwing money away on crap, buy one decent guitar and amp and leave it at that.
