  1. Wanting to be played on Radio 2 is like saying "yes! My music is boring as fuck!".

People regularly die listening to Radio 2. From natural causes. Old age. Being so dull you can't continue to live.

Apart from when Terry Wogan was on, but fuck me he played some absolute shite.

Anyway, all the best Sandi, GBOL

Radio 2 is the dogs bollocks.. Mark Radcliffe folk show, good old whispering bob harris for the country and the somewhat immortal Brian Matthews does the 60s shit on a saturday. top class

  2. A year on and I've barely touched the surface in Komplete. The majority of my usage is the Vintage Compressor series and the Solid and Passive EQ. I've had a play around with Studio drummer which seems pretty flexible and usable and Massive, which is overwhelming in its sheer volume of synth sounds/options. Both are likely to become pretty big parts of my own music as it develops. I'll have a few more examples of my work on the production/mixing side soon when I've finished mixing the new Callahan EP.

Another section I'd really like to get to grips with is the Damage series. I've had a bit of a play around with them and you can make some pretty great sounding soundscapes with them but I've yet to use any of my dabbling in anything. Ditto Action Strings, which is great on the limited exposure I've had to it so far.

The thing I've been most blown away with is the depth to what's available and the sound quality is amazing. If anyone's looking for a pretty expansive production suite it's well worth the outlay.

Komplete is top class.. You are right though , it is so vast that i doubt anyone would use it to its full potential. The great thing is its always there if you invest in it just incase inspiration strikes!!

  3. Keep them coming - just remember it's the bonafide, nailed-on classics we're looking for here, rather than more obscure books that you love. I've read a tonne of these, with plenty more to get into. Shakespeare is someone I've never dabbled in, so I need to start thinking how I can approach that

Shakespeare is brutal.. Remember it well , Macbeth for my Higher english exam in 1989 lol Some hideous but beautiful quotes. I should read some more of that stuff!! I also second 1984 by george orwell as a fantastic read.
