  3. that sounds cool - I've signed up to an online course starts in Sept but need to get a bit up to speed until then really - let me know when you get one!
  4. Anyone using Maschine? Anyone up for showing me some tips and tricks, live style, in return for beers?! I've worked with hardware sequencers before, but this is proving tricky to get me head around - I know there are loads of tutorials online, but I find hands on from someone who knows is best. Looking to create house/minimal/techno/abstract rather than 's'up beats y'all... Also same applies to Ableton Live and using Maschine as a plugin - need a hand? Cheers Jason
  5. Just spotted this thread - nice to see some electronic music in Aberdeen - being an old fart these days my nights out are not what they once were and now I get my kicks messing around with various bits of kit and making the odd burble whilst wearing slippers and supping a nice cocoa I might develop this one a touch http://soundcloud.com/jay-sonic/wheres-klaus
  6. that's cool, whereabouts are you? I can meet daily in city
  7. I'll take a couple of guitar hangers - tenner?

  10. Take this off my hands - gigged plenty but still rock solid - 2 x 12" stereo 50 watts modelling amp and FB1 floorboard controller, long ethernet cable, original manual and software CD (if that matters) £80.00 Aberdeen City (Torry) Cheers
  11. In region of cheap to £100 - what have you got? cheers
  12. OK surplus to my requirements - I specced up about £600 worth of upgrades to turn this into an absolutely banging music PC, but then decided to just buy a PC and an interface! It's currently running Windows 7, 2Gb ram, Pentium 4 processor 3Ghz - 2 HDD - will have to get back to you with size, but I think they are both in the region of 150Gb Emu 0404 PCi audio interface and an Nvidia graphics card (again will have to check spec) It's fine for day to day desktop duties, but could do with whacking more RAM in - cheaps - obviously the USP here is the 19" rack mount chassis and audio in's and outs - plenty - and MIDI controls! (see link) http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/dec0...carillonpc.htm Slight issues - the heat sink needs thermal pasting back in place (still works fine, just loose) and the fan little rubber grommets have come away (still fans away, just loose slightly) - not massive problems and easily fixed. Can throw in most of the software it came with but to be honest, it's all out of date and there are better DAW's out there than Sonar (and cheaper) Does anyone wanna take this off me before the bay? Spend a few quid (considerably less that what I intended! Core i5 sandy bridge and what not!) on upgrades and this will pump! £120 PM me or Oh seven five eight four 2 nine three 9 six 6 (Aberdeen based, Torry) Cheers
