  1. yeh good suggestions, ive been looking at marshals and they are all about 350+ on ebay but valve etc, my amp right now is 75 watts and it not too loud for home use but is a beast live, but the tone with a line 6....:( unhappy

and i would rather a head purely because i like my cab and dont really need any other speakers with an amp, i know folk arent keen on bugera but the cab is solid built and has worked with other things so its okay :) i might upgrade the speakers in due time

  2. 6505 is mega expensive. Even a 2nd hand one on ebay will skin you at least 600.

Be patient, save and get a decent amp.

Or go to Kennys in Dundee and get one on finance haha

thanks man, i got my line 6 from there, under 150 and retail is 250 so it was a bargain :L

  3. He said he was after a clean channel LOL.

You could maybe get a valve king for 200 if you look about, get that and a tube screamer and you'd be ok,

does the 6505 not have a clean channel?

and yeh i was looking at the peavey valveking :)

do you know much about "bugera" amps? ive seen videos and they appear to kick peaveys ass in price vs quality

  4. what i feel is needed in the places around aberdeen, is an atmosphere that makes you want to record and write, as i have recorded in Toms and MV and i just haven't felt right doing it,

you feel rushed and that the engineer just wants you to get it over with.

So a place with an awesome atmosphere would be what i think is needed.

    you havent recorded at MV!

  5. ah good point! i was in rnb today trying out a nice line 6 bogner combo, only 40 watts but WOW it was nice! and i hardly ever lug my 4x12 around :L

okay yeh im actually interested in a nice combo also, i had a look at a nice laney which was mentioned on here but anymore ideas/offers

my budget is around 200 :)

  6. yeh im, looking for a head, about 100 watts, for metal but with clean,

im stuck with my line 6 spider 3 head right now and its not bad but i desperately need to upgrade since im playing live a lot.

Yeh it was more the maintanence side of things i would be wary about, the amps background etc...

thanks for the help guys :)

  7. this year i have bought:

    boss me-50

    crybaby variable wah

    boss ns-2

    guyatone compressor

    line 6 overdrive pedal

    ibanez S420 (sold for):

    Jackson DXMG

    behringer EQ

    danelectro gish and chips EQ

the only thing i trully needed was the boss me-50 and i stupidly sold that....

    i want a new one :(

  8. An RR3 already has bevels.

A bevel is just the edge where it forms a gradient between the 2 perpendicular faces (a 90 degree angle - e.g. the top of the body and the sidewall depth).

Look at the contour of this (RR3) and see how it matches the picture which indicates what a bevel is:

The bold line shows the beveled edge.

If you're meaning you just want to make the bevels stand out like below (RR24):

then I would just mask off the top and side, sand the beveled edge, primer, colour, lacquer.

Otherwise just use some sort of tape like you mentioned as that is easily removed (I wouldn't like doing it this way as it'll then be ridged and raised above the paint and would peel/irritate me (I'd feel it when playing)).

i shall try this out :)

    - primer, colour, lacquer

    where do i get these?
