  1. Surely I cannot be the only one smelling wind-up?

I was thinking this yesterday but didn't think anyone would've gone to the effort of recording a few tracks.

The Peter Docherty-esque typing now from Deyzer has made my suspicions grow further.

  2. For want of not hi-jacking the Live @ The Beach thread...

Bigsby, I don't think the council would go for putting $HUTTR$PD on at the Ballroom in case the place gets destroyed. I just don't think the place would be big enough, there'd be thousands of fans trying to get in, and wreaking havoc at a busy roundabout / beside the sea / etc.

I wouldn't fancy being the doorman for that gig.

AECC is the only place even remotely big enough for $HUTTR$PD in Aberdeen. I would even suggest an open air gig at Pittodrie.

I'd second the notion of Pittodrie.

Two birds, one stone for the Dons as well.

$HUTTR$PD's insatiable grunge tendancies are sure to lead to riots and destruction of the stadium (possibly by mobile phones being thrown off the stadium walls) thus saving AFC considerable deconstruction costs ahead of their move to the white elephant at Cove.

Is there nothing $HUTTR$PD can't do?

  3. No way.

You're just jumping on the bandwagon by trying to be all cool by posting it on facebook. I came up with the idea, and I just want what I'm truly entitled to.

Snooze you lose and all that.

I've just registered www.$huttr$pd.co.uk as well.

I'm gonna make a mint off this band.

  4. Jesus F'N Christ, when I left work today the $HUTTR$PD revolution was just kicking off.

I log back on tonight to discover that they've taken the world by storm - wiki pages, download requests, you name it, it's happening.

Hope it doesn't go to your heads lads.......... we wouldn't want another Kurt Cobain on our hands.

  5. many people have done that i just remember that one the most >_> i was thinking of just attacking our guitars n drums with mental screams down the mic :D

That is much more like it.

    Original as well.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone attack guitars and drums with mental screams.

    Awesome.

    $HUTTR$PD have it all.

  6. Another slightly off topic drum kit post. We took part in the Wizard 2008 Battle of the Bands at Tunnels. In our heat, the wonderful Estrella had their own drum kit - to a battle of the bands! They played in the middle of about 6/7/8 bands or something, and spent fucking ages taking the house kit down, putting their own one back up, line checking it etc. then all that shit had to happen after they came off stage.

If I had anything to do with the heats, I would have just told them to get to fuck.

Incidentally, they won the heat and got through to the final. BUT, we got to play at the festival and they didnae. Likewise with Headlight (I think?) and Velvet Audio who were also on our heat. That will learn you for taking your drum kit to a battle of the bands.

(Disclaimer: I hate battle of the bands too, and we've only ever entered two of the stupid things, and never would again.)

What? You mean you won't be entering another at O'Neills?!?

Quote of the night from the sound engineer that night:-

"I've made this sound like Wembley for you guys"

    o_Oo_O

  7. At one of Dedalus' last gigs we supported some band from Fife at The Tunnels who had their own kit, they took an absolute age to soundcheck and the drummer had said I could use his kit, however when we were soundchecking (for all of the 5 minutes we managed to get) he came up and said if I was going to hit his newly fitted skins so hard I couldn't use it after all! Jenni said absolutely no to setting up the house kit so we had to compromise by using the house rack and floor toms and I just used his kick and hardware. Luckily the house toms fitted his hardware OK....

    Is there anything worse?

Happened to us with Beatnic Prestige from Dunfermline........ who turned up late for soundcheck. Took an age to soundcheck. Agreed to let us (and the opening act) use their kit seeing how they'd taken so long and noone had any time now to soundcheck themselves or set up all the house gear again.

5 mins after the doors opened they started throwing a hissy fit, something to do with not getting money upfront as I recall, and saying none of the other bands on the bill could use their kit.

    Happy days.

    Bit off-topic really there........
