  1. The Black Dogs are now headed to their new home.
  2. Single conductor and black, open coils.
  3. Can we generate more interest at 80?
  4. I think they're really good; because they're vintagey kind of pickups (hot PAFs) they have a lot less output power so this in turn makes them break up later and remain clean longer. Take a look/listen to this: BlackDogs Cleanish RainSong Theme
  5. I have a calibrated set of Bare Knuckle Black Dogs which are Vintage Hot Humbuckers... think Led Zeppelin (I suppose the hint is in the name). 100?
  6. I'm guessing people think that 500 is too much. Any offers?
  7. I have a Mexican Fender Deluxe Stratocaster in crimson red transparent for sale. The stock pickups have been replaced with Bare Knuckle Irish Tours and I've recently replaced the bridge saddles. Pictures available here: http://www.csd.abdn.ac.uk/~cbaillie/pics/strat_front.jpg http://www.csd.abdn.ac.uk/~cbaillie/pics/strat_back.jpg Looking for around 500.
  8. Ace! Got my ticket booked.

    Marshall DSL50

DSL50s are going for ~750 new online. Mine is less than a year old, perfect condition and newly revalved with better valves than the stock Marshall ones. I'd say 550 was a good price for that. What would your offer be?
  13. I've got a Marshall DSL 50 watt head that isn't getting used much at all so I'd like to move it on. It's in perfect condition after being gigged only once (and used at a couple of practices). Recently revalved and biased with JJ E34L power valves and also has JJ ECC83 preamp valves. 550.
  14. If you don't know exactly what you're doing then you should consider taking it to a tech to get it done as the potential to kill yourself is high. Valve wise I like JJ tubes; but I use Marshall amps so I can't really comment on them in an H&K. Quite dark sounding and break up fairly quickly in the Marshall. Also, I doubt you need to change your preamp valves (12ax7s). Preamp valves generally live longer than power valves.
  15. Absolutely ace but you know that already. And I'm biased.

  17. Personally, I'd never buy a guitar online. You have no idea what you're going to get sent which is why I always go to a shop and try out the guitar that I might end up buying. I feel your pain with no one having the guitar you want, in January I was down to Glasgow to buy a new Les Paul. Have you spoke to one of the guys in a local shop and see if they could get one in for you to try?
  18. Cabinet + speakers. Perfect condition, gigged once years and years ago.
  19. I have a Marshall AVT412 base cabinet that does nothing more than collect dust so I'm looking to get it shifted. Anyone interested? 50 ono.
  20. I thought the Quarter Pounder sounded dull and lifeless. Just replaced my 3 pup set with some Bare Knuckle Irish Tours. Those are REAL pickups!
