  1. It sounds alright, just a few obvious comments on the quality of the recording, tighten up the mix and maybe work on your technique a little, apart from that, the actual songs pretty good and well written.

    Thanks John.

I'm basically using a lead which is computer mic input on one side and jack on the other to record guitars and the signals not amazing, but i'm savin to get some stuff, and maybe when i have enough tunes play some gigs.

It's a weird idea, but it's basically gonna be me, my guitar stuff, a microphone and some nice little backing tracks.

Bands haven't worked out for me so far... it's worth a go i guess.

  2. What drum programme did you use?

What recording package/DAW did you use?

Did you use 907 because it's the police code for a 'minor disturbance'?

Maybe you should call the song 'minor disturbance'.

Somehow i knew that somebody on this forum would write that.

I didn't actually know about the '907' minor disturbance thing. interesting though...

any opinion on the song though?

  3. Ah the beatles... where to begin?

I was born and raised in Liverpool, so when I was younger I hated them. It's not that they were BAD but it's just that you can't walk down a fuckin' street in liverpool without seeing something to do with the beatles. All the things liverpool has and all they care about is throwing a picture of john lennon at you.

When i moved away to scotland five years ago I started listening to them alot for some reason, and they've really inspired some of my lyrics and some of my (less rocked up) songs.

So basically these days I love them, but there are alot more bands out there that could be put forward for the "best band ever" trophy.

If you wanted to narrow it down bigsby, you could maybe change it to...

"the best (genre) band of the (1960's/70's etc)"

    Peace Bro!

    Questions answered before they're asked

    Cubase sx3

    EzDrummer

why 907? I do not know

I'm aware of the single dud note at the beginning and the mysterious extra bar in the second verse of the tune.

There will be more up soon if any of you like it.

Let me know what you all think

(also, have any of you guys noticed that changing a song from wav to mp3 totally destroys the quality?)

  5. and i thought the iron and wine cover was awful, that just takes the piss.

    that video has broken me

Never heard of confide before, and they're terrible. destroyed one of my favourite songs. i hope they actually take the time to read the message i sent them on myspace... it reads:

"I want a reply from this and im sure you can take 30 seconds out of your fucking schedule to do it.

    what the fuck?

you've turned a really nice song into something which can only be described as the sound of a dog choking on it's own shit whilst being fisted by your mothers. I think you should all die... seriously... fuck you all...

None of you can sing and you can barely even play.

may limewire eat up all your royalties.

    good day, sirs"

  6. As far as im aware, the only way to listen to a new cd is sitting cross legged on my bed with headphones on staring at the artwork and following the lyrics. This digital crap is killing the music industry. hence why there's so many shit bands. I mean.. theres even a digital download chart. kinda like the top 20 chart hits or whatever... but counted by how many itunes (and other things such as that) download are bought. It pisses me right off.

And as for the lp's/cd's/mp3's argument... lp's have superior sound quality. it's not as clean sounding as a cd but it's more of a real sound if you know what i mean...

  7. It's bollocks!

i have a bunch of old records here, the one thats in right now is ELO.

in the case theres 2 records, all the lyrics and a massive poster...

Now what do you get? an email saying "thanks for buying these electronic songs which you aren't legally allowed to put on disc"

    FUCK YOU TECHNOLOGY!

  8. Who's all going? I am for sure. my first ever gig was alice cooper. i was 10 i think... and it was terrifying. wanna go slap him in the face for disturbing me as a child. never slept the same since.

He's fucking amazing though, first artist i ever got into, first gig i went to, i just can't wait.

when i went, i met ryan roxie (his guitarist at the time) and i've been in contact with him since. he's in his own band in sweden now so if you guys wanna check it out, go to HappyPill on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads

Anyway, alice cooper.... get tickets. it's gonna be amazing.
