  1. I blame soda jerk.

And I like the sound I've seen other people get out of oranges. That's why I was looking at one of them. The tinys good enough to gig with, aren't they?

If you are looking to get an Orange I'd suggest the Jim Root Terror is more up your alley sound wise. It's based on the Rockerverb and correct me if I am wrong but I think that's what I remember Andy Williams of ETID fame using when I have seen them and his tone is boss. Also If you are going to be messing around with pedals a lot I'd suggest an amp with an FX loop and the tiny terror doesn't have one. The Dark Terror and Jim Root Terror do.

Of course with my massive AMT fetish I could just tell you to get an amp that can do a nice clean tone and has an FX loop and use an AMT preamp to get a nice Orange-y tone.  Unless you know exactly what you are going for sound wise I'd recommend an amp that can do quite a lot of stuff sound wise though like an HT5 etc. The Ironheart Studio and AMT Stonehead I am looking at fall exactly into that category - I will PM you some videos later when I get home. But seriously you are more than welcome to try my stuff. The AMT's are also ridiculously portable like the Tiny Terror and a hell of a lot more flexible. Plus they do have tube preamp pedals if you are intent on tube things whichsound great but they are £200+ so price may be an issue. I would certainly want to achieve a good tone that I liked with my amp and use distortion pedals as added experiments and not rely on them - as an amp or preamp will usually sound way better than pedals.

  2. GAK do finance. I could see me getting an amp this year. Looking at a tiny terror. Is there a similar priced head which is better? And can someone recommend a cab?

Would need to know what wattage and features you were wanting and also the sound you are going for to suggest recommendations. The mini head market is very crowded now, features wise you can get more for less money than the Orange for sure but if that is the sound you are going for then that will do. Also solid state or tube?

Same with cab - do you want closed back, what speakers, budget and also which size you want? Eg a closed back v30 loaded 1x12. That will also depend on style of music of course.

I am possibly looking to shift my Matamp and AMT stuff as I fancy the Ironheart Studio or AMT stonehead to put everything in one rig so that may be up your street.

  3. In addition to the rackmount ironheart there is also a head version.

The only thing as disgusting as how cheap it is to buy is the looks. Seriously fugly. £330 for a 3 channel 15 watt head which is good at high gain stuff is pretty game changing though. I'm told on the bigger heads the clean channel is good but breaks up at relatively low volumes so I wonder if that would still be an issue on these. If it's not it would be grateful value for pretty much any style and not just rock/metal. The rackmount is calling me though....

  4. The

The Fender is a 30" scale as well I think. I heart the second offset and the semi-hollow!

Are these the ones someone wanted to do a bulk order on? If so I'm definitely in....

Oh it is indeed. I just assumed it would be 27" like the Blacktop tele baritone. Nope these are totally different to the bulk order guitars (I was the person who posted that too ;)). All of the proper Agile instruments are MIK and are pretty good quality. I've owned a septor and intercepter before which I bought brand new from them. Honestly, if they didn't make 7/8/9 strings I wouldn't know about Rondo at all.

The big issue when buying from them here is they don't offer returns outside of the USA so if you get a lemon you're fucked. If you have a friend in the USA who can inspect if before posting on to you then you can alleviate that risk and save money on shipping or if you live on the shady side of the law I'm sure you could figure out a way to pay less VAT...... Rondo declare full value (as they are legally supposed to) but I know of one company in the USA without my knowledge or request declared the guitar as $100 value when posting it. Kerching. Again not too good if it gets damaged in transit though!

  5. I've posted these before but feel the need to keep reminding you of them. None of this girly 27" scale crap

30" surf machine with a choice of single coils or toaster pickups? Check.

    30" semi hollow? Gotcha.

Although if you want a 27" neck this is insanely good value for the money. Shipped to the UK in hardcase after VAT/duty would be about £300.

    Have a few other 27" LP's too

I've owned 27 and 28.625" scale guitars before and they weren't for me. I have a 27" 7 string a the moment but that has a pretty thin neck so it's doable, but with a chunkier neck, no way.

  6. Enya to The Dillinger Escape Plan. Actually some really good stuff in this one. Don Caballero, Unsane, Coalesce etc.

  7. I have some band merch I own purely because I like the design. Having said that they are not bands of a totally different genre, just bands I think are OK and haven't bought any albums by.

I would not go buy Chris Brown merchandise though and advertise his name, irrespective of how nicely it was designed.

I also have some Atticus clothes because I like the design too. I was once talking to a blink 182 fan and he thought it was bizarre I wore something made by Atticus when I didn't like the band.

Who is that blinged crustpunk anyway?

The image is called chrisbrowngonemetaljacket.jpg so I think Chris Brown is indeed correct!

  8. The release clause for Demba Ba was about £7.5 million isn't it? So Chelsea are getting Demba Ba + £4.5 million in exchange for an inferior player if all the deals go ahead. Liverpool are unbelievable. It seems the Liverpool managers job has been cursed to making overpriced signing of mediocre players since Dalglish was in charge. I can think of a few PL strikers who they would definitely get for less than that who would surely be an improvement, let alone looking abroad.
