  1. But anyway, as annoying a cunt as she is, no-one deserves to go through the pain and suffering of cancer. Christ.

She doesn't deserve the attention over any other cancer sufferers, but that's just the way society is. Women gobble up all that shite from Heat, etc and talk all day about it, so Heat print more of the same shite.

Can't beleive I'm agreeing with you but that's basically what I said in my post that Hugh_Jazz didn't really agree with.....

Bear in mind that she has probably made plenty money in the past....

How much does she need to set up her boys ?

  2. I can't stand her either to be honest...

It is tragic, and very sad to hear, but its something I would have thought would be best kept as private as possible and not splashed all over the media!

She has family & friends to help her cope and care for the children.... it has happened to lots of people, (I lost my own mother to cancer when I was 6) you just have to get on and get through it, one way or another!

NOT make money out of your own personal heartache.......oh dear!

  3. Improve, improve, improve. Improve everything - technique, improvisation, knowledge. I've already taken steps to help achieve this - practicing more, playing with others. .......

........ finish my instrument building projects (4 on the go just now - that's just too much parallel tasking for my liking).............

Just as Neepheid says, applies to me too....especially playing along with others and hopefully getting some sort of band together.....

As regards instruments, maintain and maybe upgrade the two Tele's I play ( a MIM & a Parfitt replica), and to finally finish the one Telecaster (a Rossi replica).... that's awaiting completion (just needs a neck set-up and cosmetic stuff to finish ...)

  4. How in the name of sweet fud lips did you manage to quote me with something i didn't say?

He He...I'm sorry mate...... I have NO f*cking idea ???

(I thought I multi quoted ?....what the hell did I do?) o_O

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, it was originally "Chris" that I meant to quote !

  5. Hang on, you live right beside a big supermarket you lazy fucker. Though admittedly it is Morrisons...
It's not that big, and it is shit.

    It isn't shit......?(

If they stocked Morrisons with all the same goods they do in Yorkshire...it would be probably the best supermarket you could find imho.....

Their fresh foods, Deli, and fruit etc... is the best.....

When I lived down there, it was the only place we shopped at....

    and cheaper than most.....great...

  6. Has the music world gone bonkers,

1962 FENDER STRATOCASTER PICKGUARD on eBay, also Right-Handed, Electric, Guitar, Musical Instruments (end time 21-Feb-09 01:58:21 GMT)

1962 GIBSON SG STANDARD CASE on eBay, also Gibson, Electric, Guitars, Musical Instruments (end time 16-Feb-09 12:48:02 GMT)

Is there any need for this sort of over priced anal 'must be original' pish? This must raise the issue of the whole 'original' debate anyway. what would be the chance of the pickguard being fitted to the guitar it was originally fitted to etc? Hence making it non original.

    Bollocks to it all:swearing:

I agree with you..... just a bunch of crazy bastards who want to make huge profit out of "old" parts...... trouble is, there are silly twats who'll pay the prices ?? ?(

  7. ctrl & click on the timeline at the top of the window at the start of the track (or on mac, im cmd and click)

    done:)

cubase help files are truly pathetic - trial and error, its how i roll:)

  9. what do you mean by set left/right channels?

and to mix down, go to file/export/audio mixdown

there should be a drop down list letting you specify what you want to output as, if MP3 isnt there, then your version of cubase is one without the mpeg encoder codec, and they usually try to charge you for it.

what to do as a neat workaround, is just use itune's ability to creat an AAC/MP3 version of a song - export your song from cubase as a wav, open it up in itunes, and convert from there. easy :)

Sorry Scott, I should have said "Locators"

When I go to File - Export - Audio Mixdown

I get the message "The Left and Right Locators must be set" ?????

  10. Cheers for the help guys. Played around with the settings in Control Panel and seemed to allow CuBase to recognise the USB connection. Still a long way to go to grips with it but a start anyway!

To be honest mate, I'm still tryin' to figure it out too.....

I can record and playback tracks etc.... but still have'nt worked out how to set left and right channels and then mixdown to wma/mp3 ?? Anyone tell me how ??

  11. I recently installed CuBase but haven't been able to get it working. I bought a cable to connect guitar to laptop (a SoundTech Lightsnake) but CuBase doesn't seem to detect it in the USB port. The only luck I have had recording is through the internal mic so it is possible to record, just not through the USB.

I have followed the instructions pretty closely but can't seem to get anything to work. I've also tried changing the settings on the Control Panel on my laptop and while it seems to pick up my guitar it still doesn't work on CuBase.

Has anyone had a simlar problem? I may be missing something obvious but starting to get a bit pissed off with it now!

Which Cubase do you have ?

I have Cubase LE, quite an old one, but works fine (with an update)....

I use my Zoom G2.1u Effects pedal as a USB Interface (which uses the ASIO v1.0.1E plug-in)....

I think Cubase needs some kind of USB interface (latency etc.) to connect guitar to comp... but I could be wrong !

  12. yip as I said in my post spelt differently on-line....Jody is the boys way of spelling it! Probalem with that...bring it up with the folks! ;)

(why do people on forums always try n prove you wrong, even about your own name and where it came from?)

Whoooa, Sorry Jodi, didn't mean to offend you....The good Captain saw my point...

Its just that if you say you were named after the racing driver.... then I posted how HIS name was properly spelt (and I didn't find it spelt any different online either, unless you're looking at some other Jodi Scheckter ??).... that's all

Check with your parents...maybe your named after a nerdy American businessman....

    LOL.... just joking

    as an aside.....

My surname only has 3 letters, and loads of twat's spell that wrong too....

kinda bugs me as well, having to spell it out most times.....

  13. A salesman drove into a small town where a circus was in progress.

A sign read: 'Don't Miss The Amazing Scotsman'.

The salesman bought a ticket and sat down.

There, on centre stage, was a table with three walnuts on it.

Standing next to it was an old Scotsman.

Suddenly the old man lifted his kilt, whipped out a huge willy and smashed all three

    walnuts with three mighty swings!

The crowd erupted in applause as the elderly Scot was carried off on the shoulders of

    the crowd.

Ten years later the salesman visited the same little town and saw a faded sign for the

same circus and the same sign 'Don't Miss The Amazing Scotsman'.

He couldn't believe the old guy was still alive much less still doing his act!

He bought a ticket. Again, the centre ring was illuminated.

This time, however, instead of walnuts, three coconuts were placed on the table.

The Scotsman stood before them, then suddenly lifted his kilt and shattered the

coconuts with three swings of his amazing member.

    The crowd went wild!

Flabbergasted, the salesman requested a meeting with him after the show.

'You're incredible!' he told the Scotsman. 'But I have to know something; you're older

now; why switch from walnuts to coconuts?

''Well laddie,' said the Old Man, 'Ma eyes are nae whit they used tae be, ye ken.'
