  1. An experienced / solid bass player wanted for working pub band. Weve achieved an eclectic mix of music to cater for all types of punter (young & old) songs covered by The Who, Thin Lizzy, Jimmy Hendrix, The Killers, Foo Fighters, Snow Patrol, Muse. The ability not to take yourself too seriously & to play to reasonably hot women in a sweaty environment is essential. If you think that you are that person please contact me asap. Auditions to take place at 2pm on the 7th February.

I'd be keen. Are you suggesting any songs for the audition?

  2. Perfect!! I play bass and I'd be right up for this. I've been into this sort of music-Tommy McGhee,Detroit Sex Machines,Cold Blood- for a few years now but never thought the opportunity to play in this style of band would arise. My first few bands were more rock-pop orientated but i'd love to give this a go.

If your keen to give me a go just give me a shout.

  3. Nice guitar. I love the stingray sound and have recently bought a Stingray 5 string 2nd hand for 750. Maybe you will need to shave a few quid off your asking price to get shot of it. Just out of interest..what style of music do you play? Just wondering why you prefer the Jazz to the Stingray?

    Cheers.

  4. I don't mind tribute bands but I don't really see the point in a tribute for a band like the Foo Fighters. I saw The Clashed at Drummonds and they were superb. But what is the point in covering a band that is still going and not that old? They're not even that good anyway. Each to their own though, I'm certainly not going to start crying over the matter like most on here seem to be doing

Foo Fighters not that good???? I suppose Ian Brown is better? o_O

Not everyone gets the chance to see their favourite bands in the flesh as tickets often sell out very quickly, so for some who like a certain band, like the FF's, going to watch a tribute band is an acceptable alternative until such time they can see the real thing.
