Of course image is important but when its put above their music then theres a problem. I'm not gonna start throwing band names about but everyone whos been to see bands on any local scene know what i'm on about. Element 106 choose your fate 13 knives downfall dead metal bonesaw enrapture ablach their all good bands that seem to have the mix just right. To be honest i couldn't care how many different directions you can make your hair go in i just waana hear some good fucking music.
Cheers for the kind words man..
I wish I could grow hair. I have longed for long hair since I was about 20 but alas I can not grow hair. Our Bassist n Drummer make up for it though. Maybe I could get a wig? But then how would I keep it on to mosh? Hmm.. i am going to look into it.
But yeah I want hair!!

Downfall played a blinding set last night at the Moorings.
If you havent had the chance to see them live yet then I think you should try and make it to one of their next gigs.
For more info etc.. check out Downfall on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads

Downfall are a very good tight band, they are one of a few good bands kicking around aberdeen at the moment, that are doing something slightly differnt to the rest of the 'metal' bands. People need to realise that 'metal' is a wide genre with lots of avenues...
I for one am very excited about the music scene of aberdeen at the moment as I have witnessed a lot of good new bands on the go. I would say I am guilty of only really attending metal gigs, but I am sure there is equally a lot of good indie etc... bands out there.
My main issue is gig promotion is poop in aberdeen and I know persoanlly that the band(s) that ia m involved in are going to start a lot more of our promotion for gigs that we are involved in..
Anyway back to the topic of thos thread. Downfall are a good tight band that are wortha watch or listen... check em out.

cool thanks for posting pics. I have an old Laney DP 150 head and matching 2 x 15 cab. Thats 150watts into 4ohm too, but the head is really dodgey, cuts out now and again, it may just need a good clean/service but no idea how to go about that.
I shall have a think about it as the cab maybe worth having....

Thank you to Bonesaw, Downfall and XIII Knives for last night. It was an ace gig.

fuck the rain.......... come see this gig tonight...

There has been a change in line up for this gig, seems to be the norm in aberdeen now to pull out of gigs n not let the organizers know. So the aftermath n empyrea are not playing. Xtreme machine have been added but no word from tunnels on who else is going to play.
Never mind though still get a set from the amazing Downfall and a decent set of hardcore metal from choose your fate....

I think he was replying to my post.
But I have to say... every band in Aberdeen, I am sure, are not in it just for the image like. We are all in bands for the same reasons, to play music and have fun, no matter what we look like.
I would be interested in knowing which bands he thinks are in it just for the image too.... and he said nice things about my band.
