In my rush to get the post up I neglected to mention it was Friday 15 May, doors 9pm. We don't currently have the exact running times for this, but work on the assumption that the first act will be on between 9.30pm and 9.45pm. As this is a seated show it's worth your while coming down a little early to avoid sitting behind a pillar (the perennial curse of the LT!). Both acts are brilliant and this show should be an absolute cracker. There's also concession prices for all you students, unemployed, over 60s, under 16s and APA Friends out there!

Hot Club of Cowton + Smokin' Catfish Monday 18 May, 7.30pm, 12.50+bf Part bluegrass, part jazz, part country, this Western swing trio are regulars on Later...with Jools Holland, have toured with the likes of The Mavericks, Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan, played pretty much every festival there is AND were the first American band to play in Azerbaijan! This puppy is gonna be top of the list for the rest of the day, just in case for some incomprehensible reason you were still unsure whether to come or not. This is without a shadow of doubt the best value for money from a night out I've ever heard of in this country.

Excellent stuff. Yet more reason to go and see one of Scotland's best traditional artists.

On the final push stretch.... Nothing else in town can compete with this night on Friday (unless of course you don't like dance/electro/dnb/hip-hop/funk) - get your badselves down there with your best dancin shoes!

Lisa Hannigan was a DF gig - they set the price. Exposure is well cheap tho so no excuses there! Michael Marra's tonight and most certainly worth checking out if you haven't already seen him.
