  1. This is a good place to try, generally very large companies with offices nationwide.

    Health & Safety Jobs

    decent site for info too.

If you are looking to complete your nebosh, then i highly recommend going straight for the diploma, the certificate might be enough to get your foot in the door but the diploma is the daddy! but i do agree with you, it is very expensive! but worth it in the long run.

I work offshore, so if that was an area you would look at, then i could certainly point you in the right direction. I work 4 on 4 off, but there are many jobs out there which only involve a week max on the instalation you are inspecting, normally less.

Shop around online before doing your nebosh, because there can be variations in the price.

  2. I'm seeking suitable recruitment agencies/job resources in Edinburgh. I'm trained with nearly 2 years experience in quality assurance/management systems (I can develop and implement entire systems to pretty much any industry) and health and safety co-ordination. Ideally, I'd like to continue with this avenue, .

Have you got qualifications in HSE ie, Nebosh cert or diploma,

the certificate will help you get your foot in the door, and if youve been working with health and safety, then companies will like seeing that on your CV.

Plenty of jobs still available in HSE and money is good, but only down side is that you can be hated in your company!!! and it can be very dull some days!!!

  3. I had a pair of regulators too! thought i was THE MAN like!

also had those nike air hurache`s they were so fucking comfy! bring those bad boys back!

others were CAMPRI jackets, NAF NAF, JUICE!

Ah those scotland shell suits were amazing - i remember one of my mates standing next to just a normal heater and the fucking thing nearly melted to his leg! was more upset about the damaged shell though!

  4. You're really, really not missing out on much. It's pretty much the dirtiest thing in the world, . :'(

It is pretty dirty like! but doesnt have to be too dirty, pay a wee bit of money and camp in the tangerine fields bit, tent, mattress, sleeping bag all there for you when you arrive! also toilets which are just for that bit, so much cleaner! we did it last year and was soo great not carrying a tent etc! this year im not even gonna carry my beer, booked to pick it up when i get there! and its cold! quality!

oh and DOVES have now been confirmed

  5. I haven't been to T in the Park before however I've heard from my mates who are regulars that its just kinda degenerated over the last few years into a musically predictable, drug infused, unsociable, stab-fest...

    QUOTE]

Yeah but there`s bad points too!

Its just got too big really, but i still find it hard to resist - still get the buzz when i get there.

first year i went was 96 at strathclyde park and just feel that each year since has been slightly different, obviously through age and atmosphere.

really like the smaller festival idea, but at the moment they cant compete, line-up wise,

but they have the better atmosphere for sure.

  6. I need a plumber.

Is anyone on here a plumber that fancies doing a small job well for a reasonable price?

Can anyone recommend a decent plumber to use?

Pass him onto me when your finished with him! if he`s any good like.
