  1. We have, on last week's show and the week before it played tracks downloaded from myspace with no discernible loss of quality - Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings and Panda Eyes. We have also had to say no to tracks because of the compression. If you don't want us to play music from your myspace page then send us a CD. Simple.

    Sunday Showcase

  2. You always have to wait for the content, give us a time that its on so that I dont have to listen to the whole show.

No. Firstly, because I want you to listen to my whole, content filled brilliant show and secondly if the truth be told it's because I don't know what time I'm going to put the interview on yet.

You could always just wait for the podcast.

  3. Excuse the shamless plug but for those of you that do like Shed 7, this week's Sunday Showcase has an exlusive interview with Paul from the band. He talks about the future of the band, the current music scene and why NME is a bit shit.

Hear it between 6pm and 9pm on Original 106 Sunday 2nd December, and then on our podcast released the following Monday.

  4. The Original 106 Sunday Showcase podcast is now online.

You can get it from here

This week's podcast features interviews with Ten Easy Wishes, the Stereophonics, author Phil Carter and comedian Phil Kay.

If you want to get your track played on the Sunday Showcase as the Marionettes, Kashmir Red and Ten Easy Wishes did this week then have a look here

You can also get the full playlist on the Sunday Showcase blog here

    Cheers

  5. Hello,

I'm Andy and I'm the presenter of the Sunday Showcase on new Aberdeen radio station Original 106.

The showcase wants to feature up and coming local and national bands, musicians, comedians, writers and anyone esle who's doing something a bit interesting. This week we talked to Marie Claire from Panda Eyes, Simon from fivefifteen, Scotland's 3rd funniest man Gus Tawse and we played music from Broken Records, Kartta, the Kissaway Trail amongst others.

If you'd be interested in coming in to the studio for a chat or if you want to send me an CD with some of your stuff to play on air then please get in touch.

My e-mail is andy_learmonth@yahoo.co.uk . You can send cds and other stuff to:

    The Sunday Showcase

    Original House

    Craigshaw Road

    West Tullos

    Aberdeen

    AB12 3AR

Also get in touch if you think there's a band we should be playing or if you think there's a gig coming up that we should be talking about on air.

    cheers.
