Is there anywhere in town you can eat out at which does Dairy/Gluten/Wheat free alternatives on the menu?

Is there any kind of association that you can contact if you think your being ill treated at work so you can check your rights, etc?

The missis bought a slow cooker a few weeks ago. A few weeks ago, I could have never comprehended something taking longer being better because I'm horribly impatient. Slow cooked food is the bomb though. We had a joint of beef on Sunday which we cooked all day, and it was glorious. Didn't even need to carve it. It just fell apart. Had it with as many Yorkshire Puddings we could fit on the plate. Proper Yorkies too. Not frozen ones. I'm not a hideous cunt who buys frozen Yorkies. Unforgivable that.
I got my mum's old relic passed on and it's ace...I am sure they are making a come back as I have ear loads of people getting them recently!
I also did a roast beef dinner which was awesome, added oxo, red wine, worcester and black pepper to the water while it cooked away to a melt in your mouth mass of beefiness I sliced and added back into the now gravy at the end before serving YUM! I also got my mums yorkie pus recipe which I tried for the first time and was so chuffed when it worked...om nom indeed

1 onion
4 to 6 small to medium size tatties (maris pipers or similar)
500ml Beef stock
left over roast or boiled beef (a packet of cold beef from the supermarket is acceptable, corned beef is not)
Slice the onion and gently fry in the bottom of a large pot with lots of oil until soft.
Roughly slice the tatties so you've got lots of different size chunks and then add them to the pot so it covers the onions.
Rip up chunks of beef and throw it in, season (plenty of pepper) then give everything a stir and add the stock. Cover and simmer for about an hour, stirring occasionally. After a while it'll all thicken up nicely to a stovies consistency. I chuck in some chopped parsely at this point then serve it up with good, thick oatcakes.
Think last time I made it I threw a bay leaf in as well just for some more flavour.
This isn't the stovies I grew up with, we were a white stovies (pretty much mash made with lots of milk and beef) household so my Mum and Dad sneer at this recipe but I really prefer it.
Don't forget plenty of beetroot NOM!

Shutter Island Watched this last night and thought it was quite good, loved the way the music sounded like ti was from a 50's movie. I kind of saw the twist but thought it was played out well. I enjoyed the ending too. I felt it had a nice insane spookiness about it.

Gluten free pasta is weird. Tastes the same, but when you drain the excess water, it turns into white slime.
That happened to me last night but not the night before, think the trick is to slightly under cook it. The spaghetti is good when rinsed after cooking and mixed with the sauce.
Simple recipe had in both Prague and Amsterdam now....
Olive oil, wads of garlic, fresh chilli and spaghetti........haven't tried making it yet but assume you gently simmer everything but the spaghetti to infuse then mix in the spaghetti .....so fine and so simples!!

Tried this last week and it was very nice.
A tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan.
Cooked the skinned Salmon steaks slowly all the way through.
Whilst they were cooking, I mixed some honey (2 tablespoons) with a tablespoon of yellow mustard and a tablespoon of soy sauce. Added a little pepper.
Once the Salmon was cooked through I removed them and heated the oil on high. Turned the salmon, skinned side up and placed them back in the pan for a quick, browning sizzle. Once the salmon was browned, I place them skinned side down on a plate of salad leaves which had been flaked with some feta cheese. Put the honey mixture into the frying pan and cooked it for a minute or two, then poured it over the salmon. Yummy!!
Rock and Roll!!!!
That does sound lovely, not so sure about the feta, but the rest sound nice, maybe with rocket salad and new pot's!

Cop Out - I really quite nejoyed this film, plenty laughs
-
Get Him To The Greek - I like Judd Apatow, I like Jonah Hill, I like Russell Brand and I liked "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" so I was quite looking forward to this film. Sadly it didn't quite live up to expectations. Being a comedy film of this type, it's ram-packed with jokes, the ones that work are really really funny, the ones that don't just kinda fall flat, they try too hard to explain the jokes, and there are long periods without any laughter.......
***
Totally agree went to see this last night and altho it was funny in bits, wasn't the dogs doo-dahs. The fact there was two very annoying young what seemed like 12 year old boys spoiling it for me by the noise the were making with munching, ruslting, talking, mobile phones and very immatur laughter when boobies appeared on the screen, then proceded to leave 10mins before the end of the film which I presume was to get the bus home so to be in on time.
Last night......Pizza Hut..... thenShrek: Forever After
really good! ...... Lots of laughs!....... worth watching!
Eddie Murphy & Antonio Banderas, make the film, for me!!!!
Do the Roar was my highlight, altho I am a stickler for Puss in boots
4 And 5! your fucking joking? i was surprised when i heard about a third one! i saw the first one and wasn't completely put off by it, but the whole culture really annoys me, the "team Jacob" and "team Edward" bags and shit, ok it's clearly got a good story to it, but get a grip, it's not breaking the mould or anything. It's just a fad. like anything no smoke without fire, but like a lot of things as well, they get blown out of proportion and twilight is one of them. I don't understand why it's so popular? There is all the rubbish about "teen "werewolves now as well, it's just another "emo" fad./rant.
Team Edward!
-
Do they have real first names or just all called THE?
-
Watched Death Proof what a weird movie, cinematography, costumes, music, main cars and lingo makes you believe it's in the 70's but the mobile phones and some background cars make you realise it's really no set then at all. The plot would have been good imo if they didn't spend so much time with talking and spent a bit more time taking peoples faces off with wheels and seeing severed limbs flying around. Maybe it's because I fell asleep through the first half and had to start the second half again.
I know Tarantino's films can centre round the dialog but the conversations the girls had round tables etc were ridiculous - girls just don't speak like that to each other!! Ha ha
