  1. Police have now released the bodies of the Foster family killed in the Oswestry mansion arson.

When asked why it had taken so long, a spokesman commented, "we had to wait for the bodies to cool down... you wouldn't want a warm Fosters, would you?"

maybe the third time something on the internet has made me cry with laughter

  2. I'm not having this either, that's bollocks. Too many "bands" round here don't bother with recordings other than shitty Cryspace MP3's, do a handful of local gigs and then fold in a sea of extreme indifference. As much as Weapon do fuck all musically for me, at least they put in the time and effort to release things. A release leaves something tangible.

Yeah thats fine if you have a job, Im still at school and "shitty cryspace mp3's" are all I have the time for and can afford.

  3. First up I'm getting tired of hearing all these dance/trance or what ever they hell you call it, artists taking a decent song "re-mixing" it and making it sound like crap! I've heard better songs come from my ass! I'm not saying I dont like dance music, Some of it is alright, but come on people, there is so much more you can do with dance music, why dont they make their own tunes up instead of re-mixing other peoples?

    .....................

People who walk around shoveling shit about other bands is just pathetic & lack of back bone in my book!

    Hypocrite much?

  4. I use the term musician loosely.

I have had plenty of experience singing onstage, as well as playing guitar and bass, although I'd rather be a frontman.

I'm not awesomely technically skilled, but I've been told my songs and lyrics are pretty good and Im a charistmatic chap when the spotlights on me. (By some people)

I really want to join a commited band. Or form a new one. not fussed.

Influences include (but not restricted to) Biffy Clyro, Aereogramme, Death From Above 1979, Talking Heads, Twin Atlantic, Idlewild, Xcerts, etc

I stay in aberdeen and Im free every day of the week post 4 o clock and Im not bothered if practice is every day.

    Thanks very much.

  5. Aye down in Edinburgh, most of the bands just hate each other and put each other down... I dont get it =S

Same here as well I'm afraid.

Thats just from my own experience.

Aberdeen doesnt have that great a "scene" imo, someones been exaggerating to you. Though the fact you want to come up here and make music is a good thing because thats what this place needs.

  6. 1. Enter Shakiri and Blood Red Shoes have loads of money behind them to tour constantly. It's their job.

    2. What the shitting hell is a scene gig? Should they just be playing open mics or something?

    3. Sure, being in a band isn't working down a coal mine, but it's still a lot of work and effort to get money together for equipment, write songs to the best of your ability, hone your craft, etc. You can work hard at something without shoving it down people's throats, just because a band plays the East Neuk instead of The Music Hall, it doesn't make it any less worthy.
