Off the top of my head:

There's a new rum brewery opening up which is supposedly the only dedicated rum brewery in the UK

The rugby pitch just got its facilities upgraded (floodlights etc) and is on a big recruitment drive

They've not finished to hill of Banchory development and there's some folk up in arms about that

Also developers are trying to buy the land in the Lochton woods to the north of the town which locals are unhappy about

Don't feel like playing my wild card yet as I've only been going up since GW1 and I'm pretty happy with the transfers I've made each week.  Got rid of Rooney and J Henderson this week for Welbz and Di Maria.  Pretty good business if you ask me.  I'm kind of banking on Chelsea winning 3-1 and Welbeck getting the goal for the Gunners, as I have 3 Chelsea players in there too.  Sigurdsson takes the armband too as he's been brilliant so far this season. 

Ok.  I think its far better to avoid that sort of humour.  I wouldn't say I'm in any way upset or offended, I just think it should be lambasted.

I don't think you should make "all black people look the same" jokes on here, even though it was clearly a joke.  It perpetuates the culture of casual, joking racism that does nothing to solve the huge problem.  I know Stroopy isn't actually racist but that's besides the point.

Murr, surely its a matter of how passionate you feel towards each team?  Aberdeen have a huge place in my heart and Blackburn Rovers have been my team in England since I was about 5, but I don't feel nearly as much for the latter.  They've been through an unarguably worse time than Newcastle in the last few years, but I still felt far worse in the Skovdahl and McGhee eras than I did about Blackburn's systematic destruction in the last 3-4 seasons. 

I feel bad for The Toon all the same.  Even though I don't particularly like them, they are a big club and ought to be competing for Champion's League spots. 

Must be the blue and white goggles, but I quite like Hanley.  He's very limited, but is a monster in the air and creates carnage in the tackle.  Good clogger, at least.  I know most people think he's shite. 

I need to seriously turn things around.  Had a 2-3 atrocious game weeks.  Gonna have a good think about it.  Think I'll drop Rooney this weekend.  Not going to play my wild card yet though. 

My 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, 4-2-2-2 variations are pretty great.  It's more like a 5-2-3, 5-1-3-1, 5-1-2-2, utilising a half back in the DM role.  I suppose you could also call it a back three as I use complete wing backs in the FB positions.  The philosophies are the same for all three formations, I just mix them up depending on who I'm playing/what formation I'm up against.  My usual is the 4-3-3 variation:

The 4-2-3-1 sees the BBM take up a supporting AP role in the whole and the 4-4-2 sees that position move up to Trequartista in the striker role, with the wide playmakers going into support mode.

I wanted a centre back that took the ball into midfield, which the HB role achieves (its basically a centre back who has more movement, like a Beckenbauer).  I also wanted wide APs as they seem to be the most effective role for wide roles in this game.  So many chances, its daft. 

Play fluid and controlling.

Play narrow, short passes, quick tempo, high line, early crosses, hassle opponents.

Some observations:

 - Wing backs often get goals and MOM awards, it seems to work really well with world class full backs.

 - Any 6'+ striker will score heaps, but seems best to have someone who can hold up play, or make goals for themself not an out and out target man; its just short, weak CFs seem to fail. 

 - Wide APs get daft amounts of assists.  Like 20/season.

 - I barely concede with the 4-3-3 incarnation, but leak goals with 4-4-2.  

 - The midfield don't get high ratings but are almost certain to be around a 7 in every game.  very consistent.

 - Centre backs get a lot of assists by playing quick balls over the top.

Try it out.

Any recommending getting one of these yet?  I might get a PS4 instead, mostly for The Last of Us.  Any indication on which one is better, the PS4 or Xbox One?

Bit of a weird one here, but does anyone know why Daniel Agger signed for Brondby?!?  Was he not being linked with Barca/PSG etc?

I got shoes recently to correct my overpronation and the stress it was putting on my Achilles, but it seems to be putting more stress on my knees instead.  They aren't sore, they just feel uncomfortable and slowing me down a bit.  Anyone heard of this?

I'm in 2022/2023 and England have won all but one international tournament.  They've won 3 consecutive world cups.  I've just taken over the Spain job next to my Internazionale job.

I quite like the away goal rule.  I suppose taking it out the game will bring more extra time and penalties, which can only be a good thing.  Penalties are just as unfair, however.
