the album is ok. the last half of helhole ratrace is still probably my favourite piece though. i wish everything else sounded that epic.

WHAT?! amaaaazing news! i'll will be at this along as its after my dissertation hand in date (which i've forgotten).

well i went this afternoon and didn't find it offensive in the slightest. it is just a shopping center after all, right? i mean, it adds something to that area of town that was previously a dive. coming out of it didn't feel like aberdeen - much more like glasgow/edinburgh. i dug it. there aren't any shops there that i'll be frequently going to (or that aren't already in town) though. another next is rubbish. having an apple store is nice. as mentioned the access isn't so great but i guess that wasn't really avoidable (???). that hamburger restaurant looks mint, not too $$$ and right across from the cinema. the lack of extraordinary architecture doesn't bother me at all. could it have been better? most definitely. but whatevvzzz.

prolly could have made the algernon slot but i was too tired and smelly. manchester was insane! i think there was 100+ or so people. so much bouncing that we caused cracks in the ceiling of the rooms below (whoops). peter fireman lifted randoms into the crowd who then surfed the wave, there was an (attempted) 10 man pyramid and an incredible amount of jumping/fist pumping.

i think i'm too old for following bands around now though. im off back to bed.

oh, and yeah, tank is pretty much the coolest guy ever. we started the longest "whoooooaaah" to serial killer status ever and he kinda stood up and roared like a bear.

saw away we go this afternoon. YES! refreshingly good after seeing both 500 days of summer and adventureland which were a bit dull.

good gig! it was scary how good carson wells were...even if they didn't think it themselves. very tight! didn't catch much of citizens cos i had to nip out to get my bike. SYE were mint though. i really dig the new stuff. they didn't have the lp to buy so i'll need to get it online in a few weeks.

not a huge crowd come SYE but still decent. thanks huw and dave!

fishtank however, is probably the best film i've seen this year.

adventureland was a bit of a disappointment really. wasn't rubbish like...just a bit boring. and the bird from twilight cannae act.

does anyone know when the apple shop is opening in aberdeen? the plastic in mine has cracked round the front (especially above the light) and i need to get it FIXED (for free). i know one is opening in the new shopping centre, no? i doubt i'll be able to get an appointment in glasgow before i go.

did anyone have rock manager? that was ace. obviously myst and riven which my dad and i always tried to play over the chirstmas holidays but never completed. i'm pretty sure they never wrote an ending into those games.

nah, the hurt locker was AMAZING. one of the best films i've seen this year. DON'T stay away from it. you are the first person that i've come across that has said anything about it being unrealistic.

some really awesome movies out just now. end of summer onwards is gonna be great! hurt locker was ace, moon was one of the best films i've ever seen, 500 days of summer was decent, mesrine killer instinct was brill. looking forward to seeing district 9, funny people, away we go, fish tank and adventureland too!
