  1. Jonah Matranga(us) (Ex Gratitude/Far/Onelinedrawing/new end origional)

Jonah Matranga was the powerful voice of Bands Gratitude & Far as well as his other sometimes solo sometimes not projects New End Origional & Onelinedrawing. His voice is as powerful as his stage presense, and seing him live is always an experiance that will never be forgotten.

    Attention(us) (Ex-Gratitude minus Jonah)

Attention were formed shortly after Gratitude decided to call it a day, and are not only performing as a support band, they will also be joining jonah on stage to perform songs from all his past projects.

    Five 0's(uk)

Five-Os are a rock / powerpop / indie band from Manchester, UK. Starting life in 1999 the three Bradbury Brothers formed the band aged 15, 13 and 11. After a few years playing the local gig circuit and recording demos in their local studio, they set off for bigger things. Playing support to; 4ft Fingers, and Tuuli, then most famously playing at the KC Stadium and the Britannia Stadium with International Rock Superstar Bryan Adams on his World Tour of 2004! This gave the band mass media coverage on BBC and ITV primetime TV and a UK tour of national radio stations playing acoustic sets live on air. This led to a slot on the Golf Records Tour later that year. They achieved sponsership deals with Fender guitars and Bernys clothing.

Young band from ellon, with influences ranging from rock to indie to funk, one to look out for this year i recon. Website link to follow...

    Mistakes.in.Animation

Catchy Mellow music from london. Sometimes performed with full band, sometimes acoustic, but always brilliant. Del will be playing aberdeen supporting Jonah For the second time, as well as having a past tour with jonah and multiple others under his belt in the last few years. Expect cheeky humor and awesome tunes.

Though the venue is not ideal for acoustic shows, jonah will also be performing full band for the first time in the uk since Gratitude's 2005 tour. This could be a one off opertunity to see your favorite songs from jonah's back catalogue performed live with a full band, so definatley not an opertunity to miss...

    Doors 7pmish

Tickets avaliable from one-up as soon as i get them, or from www.ticketweb.co.uk if you dont mind booking fee's!

:up::up: Hope to see you all there, lets try and show jonah the reception he deserves!

  2. yup...

6x4 and 5x7 are the most standard sizes used for general disposable camera films. but you can blow them up a lot larger than 10x8 if you really want to, though obviously it depends on the quality of camera/film/photograph. When working in jessops i blew up a photo from TITP from a cheap nasty disposable to 2x4 foot and it looked pretty descent

  3. I get daily abuse for the way i dress and look. I can't go on a night out without some tosser punching me/trying to start a fight with me. All because i wear skinny jeans and have black hair with a blonde "emo fringe" Aparantly thoose things make me a "faggot/poof/bender", obviously not taking the fact i have been in a happy relationship with my girlfriend for over a year now into account.

Is that my problem or society's..? To be honest here i'm going to take the middle line and say i think it's both. It is DEFINATLEY Society's fault that stuff like this happens, and narrow minded homophobic wankers like this exist. But i suppose i could change the way i look, so in that sense i can blame society for the problem, but at the same time i COULD stop it, but at the price of completley changing myself. Fuck that, i can look after myself in a fight, and since i hit 6' 5" not as many people fuck with me anymore.

(I'd just like to point out i really don't class myself as emo in the slightest. I am generally speaking a happy person, and my music taste is VERY varied... i like a bit of everything)

  4. I need some advice here... i basically have an idea in my head of how i want my new project to sound but no idea how to go about creating it.

It will be a mixture of lots of electro, lots of group vocals, lots of vocoded vocals, small amounts of screaming, and plenty of circuit bent gadgets plus un-unusual and unconventional percussion.

The only thing i really need help with is the synthesiser side of things... I can't make up my mind wether to go for modern, or vintage synth... and TBH have no clue about equiptment...

I want a 61 key controller, but apart from that i am unsure... the budget is around 1000 but for that i want something that will basically fulfill all my needs and be useable live and able to take a bit of abuse. What would you recomend i use? Rack mounted synthesisers and a midi keyboard?

Thanks a lot for the advice, and apologies if that makes no sense... i am a synth noob, and have never played anything more complex than a microKorg.

  5. i got a lot of cash, some cool dvd's (including 3 people buyig me the mighty boosh box set... EEK), and a helluva lot of chocolate (which made my sister happy, since i'm vegan) Got far too much booze aswell... my friends know me too well... BEST present= 2 bottles of jagermeister, and a huge bar of dark chocolate :D

Christmas day was spent hungover till about 3pm from the previous night out in ellon... then attempting to eat and failing!

  7. I've seen no posting commenting on this show which makes me wonder. Is there an entire universe of gig going punters out there who don't post messages on Ab-Mus?

I thought Foals were ace. I liked their jerkiness and circleness.

I sadly couldn't attend the gig, but they put on one hell of an in-store at 1up :up:
