my other pet hate is having a shit nights sleep due to having a brilliant idea for lyrics and a melody running round ma heid for hours... so eventually I get up and write the lyrics down @ 3am but nothing to record the killer melody onto ... so of course when I do wake up ... absolutely no fukkin recolection of the tune at all... it was a sure fire hit ... I just know it was...

When typing on sites like Google, Facebook, Yahoo (those are the main culprits in my life) this new fad of fucking auto-completing everything means that letters often don't get typed and I notice halfway through a fucking email or post or whatever that because the internet is trying to be clever and guess what I'm typing it manages to put in little glitches and it forgets to actually notice that I pressed a key - you know, the thing that it should be doing whilst I'm typing.

I've no idea if that makes sense but it's something that's been pissing me off for a while now.

I fukkin hate that .. and also the fact that it try to force me to use amercian spelling ... putting in "z" where there should be a s... globalising imperialist bastards ...

Police speed traps.....

Bloody police stopped me last night as I was just entering Pitmedden village.... they were lying in wait by the tennis courts with a radar gun and caught me as I was just approaching the 30mph sign (I WAS just slowing down cos I always drive through at 30mph normally) bastards must have zapped me before the sign though, cuz I'd slowed down from approx 50mph to 41mph..... I got a lecture and a warning, reminding me that it SHOULD have been 3 points & a £60 fine.... no other cars around, no pedestrians, and they left for pastures new just after dealing with me....

Have they nothing better to do @ 9.00pm on chilly night in December ?

Go catch drivers with NO mot's, insurance, stolen cars, etc.....

They'd be looking for drunk drivers ! That will be why they'd have let you off, you were lucky. If it had been me that would have been my license gone as I am sitting on 11 points ...

On that vein then, when I was a starving student back inthe 80's I discovered the puggie (Bandit) in my local pub paid out change of 50P when you put in a 10P coin. Some of these machines had a feature that it would give you one game and 40P back from a special 50P slot... I happened by mistake to put 10p in the 50p slot (which sounds a bit dirty) and I got the change plus a game. This was the 80's mind when 50p was a decent amount of money. So basically I emptied the machine of all its cash, not just from the 50P slot but also with genuine winnings ... so double bonus. Luckily the bar never twigged the fault that night. I went home with £25.00 and got free beer all night... Of course after my hangover cleared the next day I went straight back to the pub... to find the bandit was closed for repair ...

I once found £30.00 pounds on the floor in Asda, Portlethen. I handed it to the Customer Services I gave them my name & address. Two days later I got a phone call from a woman, who handed me over to her 9 year old daughter, who thanked me so much for handing back her christmas present money that she had saved to buy her parents & friends presents. Made me greet so it did, I felt great about myself for weeks.

I've lived in quite a few places now... Eaglesham near Glasgow... if you think Aberdeen is wet ..well this place has about 4 times the rainfall... nice wee village, but I was delighted to leave and move to Sunny Stonehaven... better schools, no bigotry about religion at least not on west of scotland terms... poisonous hateful people, but curiously great sense of humour. Then London for 3 years ... awful bloody place, too many people, too many cars ... unhelpful, unfriendly dirty city. Edinburgh/Leith loved that place but better job prospects back in Aberdeen. I have also lived in Holland and thats crap country as well... flat, boring and overcrowded.

Aberdeen, Aberdeen, might be grey and dreich on occasions but the upside of the environment, location and economy, more than compensates. I dont really want to live anywhere else.
