Aye Sigur Ros was supporting GSYBE!!! Fly pam am was on first though. Yes it was quite loud with people talking through the gig - i never get that to be honest!!!! What is the point of being there????

Indeed i'm well hooked on Battles. Atlas in single of the year so far for me. Can't remember how i found out about them maybe it was playing ATP and i wanted to know what they sounded like. Shame i missed ATP this year, looked impressive line-ups for both weekends although i wonder what the new holiday camp is like.

I don't think the crowd was bad enough to question whether ATP has had its day' date=' this one was the best I've been to yet![/quote']
Don't get me wrong, i really liked the line-up which i thought was excellent but i felt the atmosphere has changed a bit from the early days of ATP.
-
That wasn't why he was getting heckled. He was getting heckled as soon as he came onstage' date=' due to the people being too impatient to see Sleater-Kinney (who were boring).[/quote']
Oh right - fair enough i didn't see that. Got to say i've been to quite a few ATP and that is the worst crowd i've seen yet for the weekender. Maybe ATP has had its day although there was something about trying to get to 10 years.

Right highlights for me was:
Dinosaur Jr
Broken Social Scene
The Brian Jonestown Massacre
Teenage Fanclub
Sleater-Kinney
The Gossip
Spoon
Joanna Newsom (Fantastic)
Lightning Bolt
The Decemberists
The Shins
Electrelane
The new pornographers
Been to about 5 of these ATP festivals/Bowlie Weekender and that is the first time i've heard a band getting heckled - Radar Bros which i thought was ok but not as good as 5 years ago. I didn't get the person heckling them as there is other things to do if you do not like the band.
Also seen a few footie tops which i've never really seen before including a Rangers top??? I suppose there was a few leeds/watford since their teams was in the play-offs on the sunday.
Surprised that downstairs was busy every time there was a band on and Clinic was put in the wrong floor for me as i only got to see the last 3 or 4 tracks.
Very disappointed that Band of Horses didn't play

good times - dinosaur jr' date=' boredoms, the new pornographers, magik markers, broken social scene, david cross
bad times - people heckling david cross, the length of the shins' set, not getting in to see clinic[/quote']
Just caught the end of david cross as i was watching Joanna Newsom (stunning performance!!!) - take it was him that was he was going on about God etc but was told he said something about Jews having sex with little kids which is why he was getting heckled. I really don't know much about david cross but i take it he's a controversial comedian. A few folk in my party was well upset with him going on about that to be honest.

ATP festival one of the best festival ever. Haven't been for a few years now but always worth going imho. Been to 4 or 5 and include the belle and sebastian one too which started it off.
