  2. anyone still after a tokai?

i have a black silver star strat. i was told it was pre lawsuit when i bought it a few months ago. birdseye maple neck...jumbo headstock. plays amazingly well. its got some dings in it but i think that just adds to the character.

also theres a seymour duncan lil59 humbucker in the bridge position...ill include the old pickup aswell though.

for some reason its got a 3way switch in it.

    great wee guitar...offers.

    lets see a pic!

  3. That's why you should eventually save up for a control surface. Even one with only 8 faders can often do 64 channels.

I just use mouse at the moment but have a wirless control surface for stopping and starting recordings which is useful if you are recording from across the room and/or have nobody to operate computer.

Is that the tranzport thing? I like the sound of them, means I can keep the aircraft (aka the pc) out of the room.

With regards to analogue 4 tracks vs. digital/computer etc... I have 4 track tapes that are almost 10 years old that, give me almost any 4 track and I can play them back. I can't say the same for my digital 8 tracks...all that stuff has been lost to dying technology...and stuff I did on my PC when i first started using my PC has long been lost since hard drives pack in. food for thought. It's also a lot easier to chuck a four track in your rucksack and set it up at Toms or wherever.

  4. What about security / insurance etc? This is something I don't think was ever considered too well at previous lock up type places...some fuckers with a transit van could clear the place out if it was unmanned.

Thats said, I'd be interested....especially at 100 a month. (Looking for a home for my new pro tools rig)

  5. Does anyone use text to speech on a day to day basis? I'm trying to teach my PC just now but its not doing to well. I am going to try repeating this paragraph into this box...anyone else want to try running it through their text to speech, if a few folk do it it could write some mad genius shit (or just shit...)

And so used a sufficiently this is entered a Chevy chase them beside him to address the prime of his most Aquatred rice be sure to take a grandson munching a share earns should

  6. Wondering if anyone can shed a bit of light on this. I've had this 7" in the collection for years, all it says on the front is "Snuff Rock" and it has 4 hysterical songs about suicide. The track listing is "Kill", "Gobbing On Life", "Snuffin' Like That" and "Snuffin' In Babylon", a priceless reggae piss-take. It says "Alberto Y Los Trios Paranoias" (I think) on the back and it says "Stiff Rock" on the record itself. It came out in '77 and is an obvious send-up of punk so does anyone know who was behind it? Any info is much appreciated and you'll join my list of "People I must buy a pint".

It's a classic....Chaos UK did the song Kill on the chipping sodbury bonfire tapes album.

Some more info here (great site) Alberto Y Lost Trio Paranoias.

  7. In on the killtaker and steady diet just don't do it for me....that was the fugazi I hated...

The albini demos of killtaker are interesting though....especially "great cop" the only good song out that bunch
