    Promo3.jpg

The sound of The Vivians is the result of frantic living, and the late nights and early mornings they've spent making their music between Edinburgh and London. Their music makes you want to forget who you are, and unlocks the possibilities of what you might want to be.

The Vivians are five close friends who assembled together in the basement of a caf in Edinburgh, August 2006, to create the foundations of a rock n roll band. The band quickly earned the respect and reputation from top music journalists and radio djs to become one of the most exciting new bands, before moving base to London early 2008. Together; Damon, Chris, Kit, Scott & Pete, have built a solid and exhausting live performance.

July 2008 saw the release of their debut single "A Human Angle". The track has seen the band break into the indie charts and pick up rave reviews. Additionally, The Vivians received extensive radio support and airplay including single of the week from Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 and Vic Galloway BBC Radio 1 Scotland.

"The Vivians sound like a rocky Killers thrashing around in an acid bath" ...Steve Lamacq

"The Vivians know how to look like a band, The Vivians know how to sound like a band and The Vivians also know how to behave like a band. The only thing The Vivians are missing now is a stadium big enough to contain their antics and a fat marketing campaign to boot" ... LIMBO

"The Vivians are the future... Divided We Stand is an anthem for us all" ...Daily Record

"one of the best frontmen of the minute, with one of the best bands around... 10/10" ...Club NME

    "a must see" ...The Sun

"one of the most exciting new bands" ...Jim Gellatly, BBC Radio 1 Scotland

"a fine fine band" ... Alan McGee

"Punk Rockin' Genius" ...Vic Galloway Radio 1 Scotland

"Scotland's answer to New York Dolls"...NME

  3. Fair enough The Locals did it but I'm sure at great expense to themselves... made a nice load of money for RB though! ;)

Not a great expense to themselves at all, they filled two 50-seater buses quite easily with alot of people driving down as well. Didnt cost them anything except from time advertising (which they do for all of their gigs) to fill the seats. and it paid off in the end with Recording, Equipment, Money, a Tour which the red battle(not sticking up for them still think its a bit of a joke comp) are supplying them with a driver/van and putting them up in hotels every night of the tour and also they have had quite alot of exposure because of winning.

  4. Earls isn't exactly a rip off. Considering the price of a pre-packed sandwich anywhere else, paying around 2.50 - for a freshly made sandwich with high quality ingredients and, more often than not, a ridiculously deep filling - seems pretty acceptable to me.

think hes talking about at night
