  1. I wouldn't really call Incubus nu-metal. Although there is a significant change from fungus amongus to there other stuff, I wouldn't say it was nu-metal.

    nu metal by association.

they were in the same scene as Korn, Deftones, Orgy, Rammstein and Limp Bizkit.

SCIENCE was a hybrid of metal, rap, jazz and a lot of other things...they always stayed more mainstream though id say...

  2. thanks for pointing that out...i didnt realise they had a new song!

mmh, i do quite like it.

their newer stuff is good in that it's more easily accessible. you could almost consider them power pop!

any band that has the chance to "break out" of aberdeen should go for it.

  3. Hopefully the fact that she's standing next to Jack Penate on the cover will stop you.

well, i don't have anything against him either...

its early days. both artists have only really released their first single so far, though kate's material appears a bit more promising.

  4. when i heard "the heinrich maneuvre" even before the entire album i had the very same notion: this isn't exactly new interpol.

but i think it might be a grower.

i even think the 2nd album is my favourite interpol album. it was far more accessible than the first.

  5. Hate to break the news but Papa Roach & Linkin Park are still at it.

Nu Metal was ace. Chocolate Starfish / Hybrid Theory / Infest are timeless classics!

    agreed!

though i think they verge more on rap-metal, i got all these out just today and stuck them on again for old time sakes. (substitute chocolate starfish with significant other though)
