To be honest, I don't have one at the moment...it would be the Edgar Prais if they played what they played when they started out as. So I guess it's the Edgar Prais?
The newer stuff is pretty cool too...just not as edgy.

can someone PLEASE book The Faint???
-
to be fair to NME they haven't actually talked about the Hoosiers at all so i wouldn't blame them. blame the feeling for paving the way for this kind of band
May we remind you that if you want to blame The Feeling, you might also want to blame The Beatles, The Police, and U2.

I think I'd die too if I underwent trepanation...

i wasn't trying to say a gig should be a fiver, i was just stating that i think its wrong to charge different amounts at the same venue for different acts because of their influence or popularity, it ain't fair on bands who aren't as popular as the others
you should re-read your paragraph again because i don't think you realize what you said there...

so you hit the seagull with your bike but you didn't kill it?
that's lame.

Ok, thanks guys, appreciated

no-one...?

Who has taken Jamesy's place at Moshulu?
-
I'd disregard this as it's just a rumour. no-one from the Blood Brothers has confirmed this yet as far as I am aware.
I wouldn't be suprised as Jaguar Love will be touring with QOTSA, but it's just a rumour to everyone.

I dig.
They're playing soonish. If they haven't already...

i believe it's unlawful to conduct body modifications such as piercing on a sunday?

Yeah. There must be a bloody army of them to clean up all the flyers\sick\chips\kebabs in time for shops opening.
They spend our taxes well!
(I mean, not my taxes as I'm a student, but you know).
I think what we need is a real invention.
You know what I'm thinking? Printing flyers on edible paper (organic ink of course). That way, people can munch it after "absorbing" the information. Then they can digest that information. Quite catchy if you ask me!
Problem solved.

Anyone who is remotely interested in music and the clubbing scene on more than surface level should go to this...I think this could be an insight for everyone.
Right now, it's impossible to make any presumptions about what it will be like.
It's easy to say that The View & the Wasted Little DJs are just going to turn up with their MacBook and randomly select material from their playlist. I'd be inclined to think that, but the fact that The View are taking their DJ crew along suggest thought beyond the usual turning-up-and-seeing-what-happens thing has gone into this.
Of course, that doesn't mean they DJ regularly and have any idea what mixes and what makes a dance floor. If they think The Stone Roses (just as an example) does so then they may be in for a nasty suprise....but really, who knows?
You can only find out by going along.
Do any resident DJs actually play The View in Aberdeen?

I haven't read the article yet (will later) but I would support a ban on flyering, have you ever walked down Belmont Street at like 6am on a Saturday or Sunday morning? You can hardly see the ground for discarded flyers, it just makes a big fucking mess.
i dont want to sink your boat...but by 6am, belmont street is usually cleansed out by aberdeen council's street cleaners

Fallout and Fallout 2 are two of the best games ever made. I once spent 34 hours playing Fallout 2 in one session without actually realising. Time well spent in my opinion.
On the subject of the new one, from what I've seen of ti, even thought they've changed it a lot, the essential spirit of the game still seems to be there, so I'm still looking forward.
I actually liked Fallout: Tactics, even though the entire world seemed to think it was absolute guff. Ok, it had nothing to do with the original series at all, but it still looked nice, and I'm a real sucker for post-apocalyptic things.
amazing. i share your passion.
i think i spent weeks, if not months playing those games.
still, i think i missed out minor quests...possibly due to bugs, mmh.
i hope the new one just retains that spirit of the old game you're talking about.
i think its interesting though how Bioshock shares the same look/feel of Fallout.

No one plays Fallout?
That's about as depressing as no-one listening to Minus The Bear.
-
Has anyone ever played Interplay's classic Fallout or Fallout 2?
If you have and loved it to death, then the prospect of Fallout 3 being developed in someone elses hand seems a bit frightening.
Will the spirit of the game be preserved or will it be a bloody massacre?
I don't know...does anyone?
I suppose it looks good, but we're keeping in mind that Fallout goes 3D for the first time. I for once will probably feel a little nostalgic, but it's very early days yet.
There was never a huge difficulty with the "follow up" to System Shock 2...but this is a big transition...
What do you guys think...any Fallout fans here?
(scheduled for fall of 2008)
-
strike a nerve there?
i dont know....you tell me

that would go down a hit with fucking art students!
