Hey hey' date=' I also know your dad![/quote']
Wooo, jumping on the bandwagon!
I know your dad too!!!
-
I heard he'd been kidnapped by a gang of highly intelligent ferrets, who had taken him, via their complex system of underground tunnels, to the centre of the earth and were forcing him to mine for limited edition Gary Numan LPs.
I may, or may not have made this up.

Last chance EVER to see the mighty TODAY WE FIGHT, as Jim is moving to Beverly Hills (lucky bastard). Bullshit free hardcore, taking the old-school hardcore blueprint and adding modern themes and ideas to create a powerful sonic assault. And it'll be your last chance to pick up (what will soon be vintage) Today We Fight merch!
Also, local splat-metal sensation HOT MANGU, fresh from their show at the London Mean Fiddler
And with riotous, raucous rocking from RADIO LUCIFER
What promises to be another mind-blowing live show from lovely Edinburgh hardcore chaps BENCOZINE
And a return to Aberdeen for up-and coming Glasgow rockers ANAVRIS
All this for only £4!
THE TUNNELS
8PM
Oh yeah, and it's my birthday/leaving do!

Hmmm.. if Brian is right, maybe that's the real reason Today We Fight are splitting up.
But I don't think he is
-
i see what you're saying.
but know this: the problem is that james draws ALL his rock power from deadloss superstar - so without us' date=' all his other bands will all be fiberous husks of rock.

Ooooh that's lies, and you know it!
Binky's rock power comes flying out from within, like a flaming hawk

I got a free invite from the scone (fuck knows why) for this gig.
Because you're in a band that's played FezMonkey gigs
-
Just what I thought.
It's promoters like him give the good ones a bad name.
The organisation was shoddy as fuck and nobody seemed to know what was going on. Bands weren't even told when they were going on until the last minute and he knew nothing about the backline etc.
But that's nothing compared to this whole 'It was a charity gig' scam
-
You'd think he would mention that to the bands beforehand!
And if he's trying to raise money, why did one of the bands get a rider?
-
Funny how there was no mention of this being a charity gig, yet I know at least one of the bands didn't get paid because the promoter claimed it was.
Shady as fuck, if you ask me

Will Today We Fight be put on last.
That will enable the GFN guys to hurry down to see TWF! after our gig.
The running order will be:
Anavris
BenCozine
Radio Lucifer
Hot Mangu
Today We Fight
I think. That's not 100% yet. Allowances have to be made, as some people are in more than one of the bands and will need breaks between performances (eg. Tim is in BenCozine AND TWF)

any space for a shit hot band from leicester called cousin scampi (did a 10" on force fed) on that bill?
they only need 20-25 mins and are a fucking excellent punky/hardcore/metal assualt. at times like take a worm for a walk week' date=' at other times raised fist, at other times lightning bolt at other times the plot to blow up the eiffel tower
[url']www.myspace.com/cousinscampi
would be a shame to see gigs clash on the same night, as small enclosed area, shutter and some others are playing in drummonds on same night
I'd be cool with that, but Jenni's put a 5 band limit on particular gigs for some reason. That's why there were only 5 bands at FezMonkey Vs Underflow when there should have been 6

Since Today We Fight! are splitting up at the end of next month I'm forming another band to satisfy my hardcore appetite. Influences include Comeback Kid, Sick Of It All, Black Flag, Champion, Will Haven, Poison The Well, Terror, Dillinger Escape Plan, early Earth Crisis & Strife and a bunch of other stuff. The songs written so far are very much in a melodic old school hardcore vein but with some tasty riffing thrown in.
Vocalists - energy and bags of stage prescence are pretty much essential and an ability to write lyrics would be nice cos it means I won't have to write them.
Drummers - Double kick is preferred but not essential. Just being able to pick stuff up quickly and play tightly will do for me.
I've been toying with the idea of getting another guitarist too so if anyone is up for it then let me know.
We plan on going on tour quite a lot. Good times are guaranteed! Anyone interested can PM me or e-mail me at: jimmylucifer@hotmail.co.uk
Cheers!
James (not Rebecca. I forgot to log her out).

I vaguely remember you telling me this last night when I was very drunk!
I'd be up for going down to the gig if I can
-
Yeah Great Night. Pity thats the last time ill ever see TODAY WE FIGHT!! They were out of this world.
Yeah, shame you can't make it to the 28th July gig
Seagull Attack!
in General Discussion
Posted
I hate seagulls as much as the next person, and certainly consider them a pest.
However, when I was getting a lift home from work the other night, the driver of the car swerved across the road to hit a seagull. Hearing the noise it made and looking out the back window and seeing it lying on the road with it's neck totally snapped was the most disgusting and disturbing thing I've seen in a long time.
It's easy for people to talk about wanting to kill them, but when you actually witness it, it IS fucking cruel and I'm still disturbed thinking about it now.
