Wise up.
I am not the only person on this forum who puts things up about a local band. I am not looking for praise...or any crap like that. This was put up for anyone who was interested..
I don't see much interest. Perhaps you should look elsewhere for praise.
And exactly right' date=' you aren't the only person that puts stuff up about a local band, so how about contributing to discussion about [b']other bands once in a fucking while instead of every post being about your brother's band or whatever they are.

Lunar are awesome!
Well that's what you wanted to hear, right?
Now please fuck off with the Lunar groupie thing:)
-
Last july I came on this site and let you hear songs by Brendon Neill and got ripped to shreads because he was only 13.
Err I think it was more of the fact that you used his age as an excuse to sound victimised by people who were giving negative feedback about your son's music.
Yes he is clearly musically talented but I think his music is shite and boring.
This is from what I have heard already, but I can't hear these songs as the links don't work.

There is a trailer for it here:

Seems a bit stupid to be honest. Plus look at the fucking size of it!

don't slag off James Blutn hes a talented musican and hes hot ok
-
recorded these; cutsman' date=' bunnies and a million exploding suns by HORSE the band last week [/quote']
I think I just had a nostalgic orgasm.
-
hmmmm. luigi i think.
Alright. SIncerest of apoligies then, I didn't mean anything negative with it, it was probably a subconscious sexual gesture;)
-
very well.
-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA' date=' i swear ash is checking out mart's ass there:up:[/quote']
No it really doesn't. She is looking too high up
-
Irrelevant to the singing, but what is fuck is with Noel Edmonds and Andi Peters being back on tv?
Maybe live and kicking and nhp will make a comeback
-
fluffy and the rainbow bunnies were fucking ace. BOB HOSKINS! i told the singing guy that they were good but he looked at me as if i were an utter cunt.
Mario or Luigi?
-
names would be nice.
"Last Band" - colonopenbracket
"Band number two" - Fluffy and the Rainbow Bunnys
"Band one" - Holy Folks

Had a fantastic night. A really great, friendly atmosphere in the Tunnels last night. I can't be assed detailing the bands to full so I will shorten it down to a few words:
Sam Beaton - great opening set and some catchy songs
Holy Folks - very powerful and enjoyable indeed. The new songs are great
Us - That had to be the best gig we have ever played
: ( - Not bad at all actually! But from the back you could not hear the keyboards, just a wall of vocals and drums. This was concluded after I went to the front in order to get my Luigi cap back. Not really the type of vocals I dig but a good live performance was all I needed
Once again thanks for everyone coming and making the night a success

Say' date=' oh I dunno, Filthpact for example played a gig with Flood of Red, My Mind's Weapon and Stayover. I'm sure people would think it was OK for folk to only pay attention to Filthpact. It's just prejudice against "scene" (don't really understand that syaing either) people.[/quote']
Filthpact aren't anti scene are they? I just thought they chose not to promote themselves to the A-M massiev
-
remember, ecstacy makes you a better person!
-
Folk who are interested in colonopenbracket should come see them tomorrow before their gig in London. I can't help but feel that they are very much on the way to bigger things.
Also I should note that the new Holy Folks cd 'Old Photographs' will be on sale, aswell as a new FATRB mini-album demo featuring all new tracks. Hope to see you all tomorrow.
-
Fluffy...- I quite liked them' date=' or a couple of their songs anyway. Maybe it was technical difficulties, or maybe they need a bit more practise, but they sounded pretty poor. Sure they'll improve though, I did like what they were going for.[/quote']
Without making excuses, it was probably a bit of both
The new songs we played had only been rehearsed once, in a bedroom, but the main problem had to be the guitar/technical problems. This won't happen at our gig tomorrow.
-
how bout this?
They like Flood of Red and only came to the gig to see them.
Flood of Red are always up here, which could explain the fanbase, so if they are up here all the time, they will be playing gigs with a cheaper door price. Why not just wait for that?
Also Flood of Red aren't going anywhere. They are a small band popular with the trend. Once it's gone, they will fuck off too (hopefully). They aren't £6.50 material.
-
cept loads of em are dicks.
Yeah' date=' this is pretty much what I am thinking. A lot of these folk were either outside or at the toilet area just outside the bar during every fucking band bar Flood of Red.
I fail to understand why [b']anyone would pay £6.50 to see one local/glaswegian band.
-
Take what you want from that statement' date=' I know what I meant.[/quote']
Alright. I was just curious though, as I didn't regard the night as an "eye opener" in any aspect
-
wow' date=' WHAT AN INSIGHT.[/quote']
Never realised a scene like that existed in aberdeen though' date=' it was quite an eye opener...[/quote']What are you talking about? Did you not realise Aberdeen was full of emo fags?
-
that was hella helpful' date='on my part anyway. its i early stages, still a bit sloppy drummage and not sure what im going to play for it. otherwise....cheers [/quote']
You got a double bass pedal?
I think a few double bass kicks towards the end part of each vocal line would make a significant difference to the drive of this song. The drums do sound a bit out of place but like you said, you aren't sure what to play yet so that is merely just a suggestion.
As for the song as a whole, I thought it was pretty boring compared to the other two.
-
The band has a policy of creating music with mileage rather than immitating a sound that has the longevity of a weekly issue of Kerrang!
I beg to differ. Your sound is oh so generic.
Anyway that is irrelevant. Yes there are a lot (if not far too many) fans of music similar to what you play in Aberdeen, so I'm sure they would like you.
-
dunno...but his friend shelly's a skank.
Although we were completely pissed, I think I recall being offered a dance by her in Buggsy Brownso_O
